Phonk D, born Dirk Bretträger, is a German DJ, producer, and label boss known for his signature blend of house, disco, funk, and deep grooves. Based in Darmstadt, he launched the label Footjob in 2014, a home for soulful, underground house music. He also co-founded Dedicate with Jofeca, focusing on instrumental beats and more experimental cuts.

Dirk’s journey began in the '90s within Frankfurt’s legendary club scene, where venues like Dorian Gray and Omen sparked a lifelong love for electronic music. This passion soon evolved into a career rooted in vinyl culture, party organization, and groove-driven sound. His deep respect for records and analog vibes has earned him recognition across the global house scene.

Talking about his own productions, these are warm, funky, and emotionally rich designed equally for the dancefloor and deep listening. To get a taste of his sound, check out Anoa (Future Disco), Cheek (Footjob), or Medusa track, featured on Running Back’s 10 Years of Kurzweil compilation.

Sacha Ketterlin’s third release on Higher Resonance, Shaman’s Dance, is a mesmerizing four-track EP that once again showcases his unparalleled ability to craft immersive sonic journeys. This release reflects his mastery of mood, texture, and emotion, offering a diverse palette of soundscapes for listeners to lose themselves in.
The journey begins with "Rituals," a meditative introduction that sets the tone for the EP. Stripped of drums, the track is anchored by a deep, grounding bass and a steady heartbeat, creating a sense of primal connection. The ethereal resonance of a crystal pyramid, played by sound healer Simonanda, adds an otherworldly dimension, inviting the listener into a sacred space where sound becomes ceremony.
