Italian producers Mike Riviera and Marco Ohboy make their debut on Shades Of Sound with Azul, a captivating four-track deep house EP that brings the spirit of Balearic to life. Drawing on warm, breezy textures and rich melodic flourishes, Azul is a sonic postcard from sunlit shores and after-hours beach sessions.

It's been 10 years since the birth of Music Is My Sanctuary, and what a 10 years it’s been! Started in 2007 by Alexis Charpentier aka DJ Lexis in Montreal, Canada, Music Is My Sanctuary has been dedicated to discovering and presenting music often overlooked by mainstream music channels through articles, interviews, radio shows, DJ mixes, and events. 

The "10th Anniversary Compilation: Never Stop Digging" is an eclectic collection featuring 17 unreleased tracks from artists who all share the same vision and passion, and who represent the mentality and styles that Music Is My Sanctuary works to push forward. 

Side A focuses on some more floor-oriented grooves from artists who are known for both producing and DJing. Side B (kicked off by the ever-mysterious Clutchy Hopkins) is dedicated to the Hip Hop and Funk heads featuring artists who have all put their own unique spin on genres that have come before. Consider this a Future Classics affair! 

This project is a collaboration with 101 Apparel, who are providing the "Never Stop Digging" T-shirts which can be purchased from 101 Apparel directly. Both the T-shirt and cassette were designed by Montreal's Nik Brovkin. The official Music Is My Sanctuary 10th Anniversary celebration was held at Montreal’s Centre Phi, promoted and broadcasted live by Boiler Room. A big thank you goes out to the artists who provided tracks for this compilation, and to all artists who keep creating such fantastic music for us to share and enjoy. Without you there would be no us, and for this we can’t thank you enough!

The swirling phased chords, staccato synth hook and subtle guitars really hit you in the feels, paired up with bone dry disco drums and a thumpy kick. "Dunlop Molley" is the debut EP by multi-instrumentalist and producer Sam Stosuur. A Brisbane native, Sam grew up immersed in a combination of Jazz, Classical and Avant-Garde. In this new release, Sam molds together his traditional training with an ever-growing interest in the intricacies of dance music.

"After playing in bands for many years, I've become adaptive to so many different styles, which I eventually used to craft my own sound. After acquiring an MPC, Juno, Arp Odyssey and various other pieces of gear, I dove deeper into the world of synthesizers, sampling, and production - the end result was my debut EP."

We've got 'The Road' to show you today. The shortest track on the EP but the one that captured us the most. A sweet snapshot of afro-latin percussion that would make Leon Vynehall envious fused with choir chords and wobbly synths that just puts a big smile on your face.

Plenty of funky stuff coming out of France lately, and Parisian producer Oldchap has been consistently presenting himself as one of the guys to keep in eye on. With previous releases on the likes of Editorial, Masterworks and Boutade Musique, he now returns to his second signing on Sundries. On the flip 'Je Vends Du Reve' then marches to a more decisive beat, putting some steps on the counter as it leads the way straight to the club.
