I’ve decided to remaster some albums and tracks that have already been released.  Just felt I could give them a different kinda sound...

I import the audio files into the daw and then usually load one or more processors of some kind (vinyl, compressor, desk emulations etc) on the stereo master buss. This is configured to colour, shape the sound. My versions are sometimes lower in vol level than the originals. Some releases are hot to signal, but I'm looking for an inherent sound.

Sometimes I apply some chamber and or hall reverb.

-Today I found this stream of consciousness I had a while ago. 
I think Costa being the right kind of guy to document this happenin’ deal (the cafe), film camera would be good, 1960s/70’s hand-held….

We’ve sent many spacecraft into space, to other planets, to Venus’ surface, the Vikings on Mars, the Voyagers that finally left the solar system etc. 

Space is one of the galleries….

It’s wonderful, part of the art/creation. And yet so is a coral reef wonderful and fascinating, so is the microscopic world where we’re finding new things all the time. So is a cat grooming itself wonderful to look at, a rainforest system, a honeycomb weathered rock, Ayers Rock in the middle of a red desert, a toucan bird, a great cafe/restaurant with ferns and wallflowers, bamboo in the corner, someone working on an idea for an interesting inside waterfall in another corner, out the back is a room, the mirror room with multiple mirrors, even on the floor, maybe the whole cafe could have mirrors on the floor, you can eat there or hang out, tell your story, do your art, do what you want…. The couple that run the cafe are friendly, they sit down and talk with you and your friends, into the night, they've got time, someone brings a new flagon of wine, someone rolls a ciggy, someone does an impromtu and very different dance to the music coming from an old 45 vinyl jukebox player, someone’s in a generous mood and declares that all food and drinks are on them, the cafe has a resident cat, the place has no neon - just some old green, red, blue lamps in corners and candles, lava lamp next to the fish tank... Martin Sharp posters on the wall (also 1920s art deco and film posters), then there's the invisible room, the infinity room, the Van Gogh room, the snow room in winter with snow shoveled and brought in to cover the floor, a room where films are sometimes screened with an old projector, a disco room, pine trees and other flora to decorate, someone brings in a strobe light for use in it, there's the corridor with plastic noses on the wall (even the old glasses, nose and moustache disguise piece), surfboards hang from the ceiling, palm trees out the front, fairy lights draped around them, list goes on….

PS. While out in the street outside, it's 1.30 am, snowing, someone's taking a photo of the street as reflected/elongated in a hubcap.

-as I just put this up I had a vision that Matteo Denaro in Shamayim digs this idea

So here we are at the 100th SlothBoogie guestmix and its been quite the journey since our site relaunch last summer when we really took the mix series up a level.
