Platinum-winning producer (with Jem in 2004), bandmates with Tupac at High School and graphic designer for Mos Def artwork, Ge-ology is a man with talent and experience in abundance. In recent years, he's also been seeing his career in dance music flourish, as a producer signed to Theo Parrish's Sound Signature, and a DJ whose sets appreciate heritage, the need to take risks and, above all, make people dance. His 30 minute mix for samples just that, taken from a two hour session in the Brownswood basement, which will be aired in full on Worldwide FM, with an interview as well.

This week we have friend of the label, all round top guy and the guy that hooked us up many a tasty premiere. It's Jonna the label owner of City Fly & Mysterious Works. He's produced exquisite music on BBE, Flat White Records, Intimate Friends, Lumberjacks in Hell, R2, Shadeleaf, The Groove Stage. 

He's about to drop one of his most ambitious projects to date; 'City Fly's 'Fly Family Vol.1' dropping exclusively on Traxsource on 17/02/20 & everywhere else from 02/03/20. The album is drenched in deep, soul flecked bombs ranging from the jazzy hip-hop intro of Cologne's Ugly Drums who teams up with Detroit MC :brownstudy to the heads down, no nonsense 'Warehouse Shit' from Simbad. The project brings together familiar faces that have previously released on the label like Kez YM and Lay-Far alongside some of their favourite new producers like Javonntte, Felipe Gordon & NY*AK (who will be releasing a full artist EP shortly after) who join the Fly Family! 
We've already premiered a couple of tracks off this LP in our radio shows it's that good. City Fly will be hosting a launch party for the album @ Shoreditch Platform in London on Sat 28th March / 9pm - 2am

With a discography of releases dating back to 1991, New York native Henry Maldonado credits his home city as inspiration and motivation for his art. As part of the House 2 House trio on Strictly Rhythm, Maldonado and crew fired out a relentless assault of New York style sampled and deep house tracks coveted by New York mainstays Little Louie Vega, Kenny Dope Gonzalez, Tony Humphries, Roger Sanchez, Timmy Regisford and many others. The label District 30 is Henry’s latest label and features a catalog of Son Of Sound releases, including the self-titled Son Of Sound full length.
