The French DJ and producer has been making her mark on the scene far beyond the City of Lights. After dropping two EP’s on @DJDeepParis’s @Deeply_Rooted imprint the Deep House don @Kerri-Chandler stepped in to remix one of her tracks. Unfazed by this stellar endorsement Marina Trench backed it up with dazzling DJ sets at leading clubs and festivals across Europe, followed by an EP on the much-respected house label Wolf Music (@NYsoul).

Jimpster (Jamie Odell) is one of the most renowned DJ’s in the world of house music, and his name has been synonymous with the scene since the 90’s. Over his career, Jimpster leveraged his musical-upbringing to craft remarkably tasteful productions, ranging from deep house, chilled-out downtempo and acid jazz. Jimpster’s catalogue features an impressive seven albums and countless EP’s, managing to never sacrificing quality which signals a creative output that is a pipe dream for most artists. When he isn’t behind the decks or in the studio, Jimpster is busy running his two record labels, Delusions of Grandeur and Freerange Records.In celebration of Jimpster’s upcoming ‘Smile for a While EP’ on his very own Freerange Records, we were lucky enough to have him on for a special edition of MIXED BY.

In 1989 Michel Baumann started spinning as a Hip Hop DJ at local jams in the Stuttgart area. In 1991 he became infected with Chicago and Detroit based House music whilst working at a record store. Michel would go on to become the owner of a couple labels himself, namely Philpot-Records and Phil e.

He also records under the alias Soulphiction crafting musical outings with a touch more funk to them, which I'm sure you will know well. Back though to his Jackmate alias and he will soon be dropping a tasty new EP on the freshly minted 18437 Records. This new label is focused on the outer fringes of House and Techno and run by none other than Tooli of Local Talk fame. After teasing everyone with his recent 12" for Matthew Herbert's Accidental label, Jackmate is in full swing here. He also does Workshops for production and mixing, online and one on one slots, just send a PM him if interested!
