Loving the vibes on this mix sir 🎶🔊🙌

Finally! We're here with another episode of RADIORAMA.

And what a beauty it is. 

Been trying so hard to present this mix with words, but It is so so difficult presenting a person you've shared half a lifetime of experiences with. 

Because where do I Start? 

N'Djinn. The man in question for this weeks nexus of frequencies, also known as Aske is one of dearest. Now based in Berlin but originating from roughly the same rural area in Denmark as myself we go quite a while back.

Honestly i spent the first years of high school not knowing what the fuck to make of him. Definitely took a while to connect. However, had i known the array of absolutely incredible experiences I would have had alongside him, I would have given him the biggest hug on the first day of school no doubt. Egos and shit.. But hey.. We grew. And quite alot.

A cosmic comrade - A journey through space and music. 

Both having an urge for an astral escape as well as the ability to get sucked into music and forget time and place for many many hours. Jazz, Boogie, Funk, Soul, House, Disco, Latin, Dub, Leftfield. Not to mention our whole connection with the Greta Cottage Workshop lot, and our trip to Durusa Summer Hills & Virgo Festival. The places we've gone, the things we've seen listing them would just take too long.

A friendship a certain unique dynamic we share that makes spending time together so easy and so awesome. No matter the time spent apart, reconnecting never requires much effort. Dispite the difficulties of living far apart with alot of stuff going on on each side of the border. 

Through every bit of the inception of my career, everything leading up to it, and quite a while into it, he was there by my side, came to most of my gigs, and quite a few of them we also played together. A true friend and an absolute master behind the decks. 

Blessed to have had him as a teacher and an inspiration. Always on the search for the next great experience, he's been a constant influx of creativity and one of the biggest impacts on who I am as an artist.  

The mix itself is 1 hour and 30 minutes of "10/10 on the Theo list" as he explained it himself. 

It just goes to show how well he knows me. Because it is indeed 10/10 up my street. 

If I had to dance for and hour and a half, nothing would do it better.

RADIORAMA EPISODE #5 // N'djinn

This week we have Sisyphos resident, David silver, stepping up to the platters that matter to deliver an hour of vibrant house music, with that signature Wintergarten swing.

David's style ranges from jazz to techno, with funk and disco being combined with classic sounding house. His style leans on Detroit's tradition of combining various musical forms with raw electronic drum machines. The combination of classic sounding house, raw funk and uplifting disco proved to be a deadly cocktail for the Wintergarten at Sisyphos, where he regularly gets people dancing on the bar. Furthermore, his uptempo and energetic sound embraces the timeless sounds of Roland drum machines and the funky grit of MPC-sampled jazz & disco.

"This mix was recorded with a very basic set up, a small Allen & Heat 23 mixer, 2 old CDJ350s and the inevitable Technics. There was no post-production and no loops or EFX were used, so you can expect the true essence of my selection :) "

This time we welcome Levi Berishvili, better known as Levi Love Disco, a DJ and selector from Tbilisi, Georgia.

Levi is a young emerging selector from the the Mountain region of Racha, paving his way into the ever exciting Georgian music scene.
 At the age of 21 he’s had an impressive run with his DJing, spinning his records in clubs and festivals of high caliber; Club Der Visionare , Khidi , Mountain festival , and his 3 year long residency in 2018 with Ezo festival.
 As his name suggests, his true passion is collecting and sharing disco records from all time periods. However like most of us, he enjoys playing a wide range of music. When playing in clubs and festivals he speaks of taking influence from house DJs such as Ron Hardy and Jeremy Underground, fusing disco and house sounds to create the energy and excitement his sets deliver.

Levi co-runs the Automatic Ritmo label alongside Erekle Tabukashvili and has recently released his debut release, the Galactic Animals EP - make sure to head to his bandcamp to buy/listen previews.

Levi has put together a dope mix running just under an hour, starting things off with some ambient and percussive world vibes before shifting gears into some floaty italo inspired house!

tA MIXTAPE 24 | WHODAMANNY

It's always great to find a Soundcloud account that continually shares and re-posts top notch content time after time. And that's exactly what you'll find if you head over @jeanbart59, the page of Davebryckaert / Deep Corsairse.

We first noticed that Dave was a fan of the auld 2Sox stuff, so gave him a wee follow and his shares have put us on to some lovely stuff over the years. A constant stream of delightful sounds being shared as Dave clearly has his ears on the pulse, and we noticed that he's dropped a couple of his own mixes into mix too.

Deep, dreamy and soulful; but dance floor friendly - Dave knows how to select records!

The man himself gave us some words when submitting the mix that we ought to share: "Electronic music is part of my life, can't do without, this is a story of love, I consider music as a universal language, a language that everyone can understand, because it speaks directly to your heart, your soul, it goes far beyond culture, religion, people position in society, it makes everyone connected. This mix is for me what is electronic music, this is a deep introspection into my soul."

He also tells us that he's got an album in the works for later this year or next. Magic.

Another journey to the bottom of the box - soul steppers from The Controllers, Levert, Starpoint & Leroy Hutson. Deep house heaters from Gene Tellem, Los Hermanos, Pepe Bradock.
