A 3 hours Toy Tonics Mega Mix featuring ONLY music that Toy Tonics released in 2021. Mixed by our TT brother KAPOTE in a very eclectic way. This mix includes the last releases by London born, Berlin living Cody Currie as well as Munich disco house twins COEO (Toy Tonics family members since day 1). You can hear 2 futuristic broken beat tracks by London’s Athlete Whippet as well as Italian disco don Sam Ruffillo (the Musumeci remix!). 
Check also our new German live disco duo GOME and the two tracks by american born, Berlin living keyboarder and producer Joel Holmes. Remixes by Sworn Virgins, Joe Claussell, Jex Opolis (for our new artist Digital Ivan from Moskau)included too.
Of course the mix also includes tracks from our Mushroom House compilation. We re-released 12 of the Mushroom tracks on a 2LP vinyl last year. (Mushroom House is a series of EPs with cosmic afro indie dance tracks we released since 2016).
This mix also includes some of the Toy Tonics edits. Reworks from the Illegal Jazz vinyl edits series that Kapote made with our friends Delfonic. Last but not least this mix includes also some of the ITALOMANIA edits. Reworks of rare Italian disco songs from the 1970ies that Toy Tonics released on a 2LP vinyl (bandcamp) compilation. Cacophony is by definition a collision of multiple sounds in discordance. Sounds that shouldn't go together basically. Bogotá, Colombia’s Felipe Gordon does this, but in euphony(bringing pleasure to ones ear)! Spreading himself blissfully across jazzy, disco, funky and soulful elements he pours this concoction into his cluby productions and sets which has now given him international recognition. Having put out forty plus 12" releases and an album since 2014, including his brilliant "Timeless EP" on our Karakul subsidiary, he has found himself on labels like Shall Not Fade, Razor'N'Tape, Toytonics and some of the most long standing greats more recently like Nervous records. For Phonica mix 104 Felipe walks us through what for him brings musicality into electronic music, what live elements bring humanity into our dance floors. Moving home can be difficult, but when you find your forever home, the step over that threshold becomes invigorating. Never more apparent than here in our latest contribution to the SB guest mix series, from none other than personal heroes, Tiger & Woods. 

"This is recorded at our new studio, B.K.S. Studio which is our definitive home. It took us one year to complete the construction work and we finally have our own spaceship. The studio features two production rooms and one room for mixes, podcasts and live recordings in general. So we're very happy to deliver mixes from this special place, it's our pride."

Tiger & Woods is a dj/producer duo from Italy formed by Marco Passarani and Valerio Del Prete. 

Marco has been a central figure in the Italian electronic scene since 1993, with his multiple roles as dj, producer and distributor for many years, joining the dots between the local underground scene and the global one. He was also one of the key studio tutor of the Redbull Music Academy for more than 15 years. 

And talking about the Academy, that’s where he started working on the Tiger & Woods project with Valerio Del Prete, a young talented dj and producer from Rome from the local club scene. Valerio started his career djing in Rome clubs, showing off his passion for funk and soul as well as house music. The combination of their elements created the sound of Tiger & Woods, a constant search for a perfect slicing of old samples mixed up with repetitive grooves, adapting old ideas to the contemporary dance floor.

To  Celebrate the upcomping release of our Nu Groove compilation, Gerd Janson was kind enough to make us an awesome mix of his favorite Burrel Brothers tracks!

Recording under different aliases, the Burrell Brothers were the backbone
of Nu Groove Records. This New York label started in 1987 and took
inspiration from Trax Records, both musically and aesthetically. This
compilation compiles the absolute best of the Burrell's output and in
doing so is giving us a valuable insight to the much overlooked roots of
New York house music.
