Chris Wheatley Loves To Boogie

Stepping up to the mix series next is record collecting veteran Chirs Wheatley!! Based in Bournemouth UK, Chris has been a DJ, and record collector for 30 years, he's a resident at Bump n Hustle in the UK, and makes regular appearances at Spiritland and Up on the Roof in London. Chris has also performed at events in Switzerland, Spain, Germany, The Netherlands and supported Dave Lee, Kenny Dope, Greg Wilson, Horse Meat Disco, Craig Charles, Dimitri from Paris, Nightmares on Wax and Roy Ayers. In 2023, Chris featured on the festival line-up for Love Supreme with Mr Bongo, and We Out Here.

Over the years Chris has released music which featured on Radio 1 in the UK and signed to multiple compilations across genre. To help feed his addiction to Vinyl, he's also a Record Dealer and can be found buying and selling at record fairs, in addition to his eBay and Discogs online store under the name 'Funkymusak'.

His musical tastes vary from Boogie, Disco, Electrofunk, Reggae, Funk, Jazz, Latin, House and Garage. He also knows we love the variety so expect to hear a real eclectic mix of sounds through this mix, turn it up!

Marjylin has been building her curiosity from early 2013 through record digging, which expanded to curating club nights with Perky Club. Her dream-pop, shoegaze and trip-hop upbringing has highly influenced her selection style towards a diverse range of house, progressive and beyond. 

This mixtape is a reflection of her daily life, finding harmony in chaos, paralleling her ability to stay focused on long surgery procedures & her sensibility in shifting dynamically between sounds and colors.

Sorry this has taken me so long to get the track list up.
Last months show went out on D3ep Radio Network a few weeks back. It was the last session to be aired on D3ep and I'd like to thank @grantnelsonmusic, and @jamestothalee for the opportunity to play on such a warm, welcoming, supportive station. I've had a blast but it's time for the next phase of the journey and you'll always have a special place on my racks.

This show was super fun to do as always. A nice journey into some more funkier elements from the deep rumble of @derekrusso_ and @djfulbert all the way to Scruscru.
