Kostantyn Isaev the man behind the project Volta Cab and also Rambal Cochet is now part of the Waste Editions family. The St. Petesburg's colorful artist has just recorded 6 catchy and powerful tunes which are heavily influenced by the new wave/post punk music of the late 80's , especially by bands like Кино (Kino) and the Soviet space disco as well.

All tracks produced by Konstantin Isaev in Saint Petersburg  (2018 - 2020).

The tenth reference of LATIDO comes from the hand of Durand & Kadriana. Durand has a good bunch of previous releases on labels like Nein Records, Factor City, Logical Records or Esthetique to name just a few. For this new reference in LATIDO, Durand is joined by Kadriana, who is in charge of the vocal part of the tracks. 

The entire ep clearly sounds 80s. The synths, bass lines and melodies take you back to the New Wave and Synth Pop sound of the eighties. "Blood & Honey" is made up of three original tracks steeped in dark desires, mysterious daydreams and vampires conspiring on a retro-futuristic dance floor. 

Alongside the three original tracks are two fabulous remixes by bosses Fabrizio Mammarella and Undo. Both artists have been able to perfectly read the meaning of the EP, and their remixes fit perfectly with the overall sound of this release. 

With "Blood & Honey" you will sing, dance, and feel like the protagonist of a science fiction movie starring John Carpenter and Tangerine Dream.

One of the most consistent new labels around, Cyphon Recordings, marks double figures with another standout release that gleans from the past but faces the future. This time they look to the talents of Emotive Technology, a new alias from Chilean Massiande who provides a five-track EP of machine-wielding, soul-rousing techno from across the spectrum. Although this may be the first release under his new moniker, Massiande has spent the last decade putting out productions with labels such as Housewax, Phonica, Freerange and Groovin. 
 
Firing on all cylinders from the get-go, ‘Rise’ kicks off the Walk Into The Light EP. A hyperspace melding of new beat, Italo and arp-operating techno that opens out into a slice of peak-time revelry. The swirling textures of ‘It’s On’ follow, pushing you into the next dimension. A hypnotic, entrancing, and arresting heads-down powerhouse. Crunchy and considered it's the kind of strobe-stuttering basement jam that turns heads inside out. Two Detroit-leaning tracks ‘Your Zone’ and ‘Walk Into The Light’ are up next. The former is a heavyweight machine workout. Layered synth lines and crisp drum programming transfix, as that grooving low-end powers bodies into bedlam. The latter, a Motor-City-influenced tour de force. One that sees Massiande recode the circuitry to hit with a piano-laden stunner, balancing power and presence, with emotion and nuance.  Closing out ‘The Swing’ sucks you in deeper. A resonating world of synth stabs, pulsating bass lines and atmospheric electronics.
 
Walk Into The Light is machine music hardwired with a heavy sense of soul.

Alone in this space with nothing but her thoughts; nothing to focus her attention on except her hopes and her dreams, her successes and her failures. She watched the rain trickle slowly down the window, creating thick trails on the glass. Her eyes begin to swell with tears, running down her face as if in unison with the rain on the window outside. She couldn't pretend to be happy anymore. She would no longer conform.

To inaugurate her new label Microdosing, French producer Julienne Dessagne aka Fantastic Twins, has enlisted some of her close friends to be part of the first volume, which takes the same name as the label. Julienne hails the imprint as 'a collective experiment aimed at helping you fighting back your modern obsession with happiness.' The release features tracks from a talented bunch of producers, including Manfredas, Smagghe & Cross, Autarkic, Naum Gabo and, of course, Julienne herself. Shubostar, Hailing from South Korea, has been immersing herself in the ever-evolving underground scene of South Korea and Thailand and now in Mexico. In 2018, She decided to launch her own label ‘uju Records’ with Korean painter Daryung Kim, inviting her favorite artists in the genre.

The original comes along with a reinterpretation from “James Rod”.
