Blank Wave is back after a short break with Guest Mix No. 100 (!) and a brand new look! 

Shia LaBiff is the key figure behind the guest mix series and has been a DJ, organizer, curator and event manager for over 20 years in Frankfurt, Germany. He got his start as a Post-Punk, New Wave and Indie DJ in the early 00s. Artists such as Andrew Weatherall, New Order and Primal Scream have led him down the path of electronic music and behind the booth together with The Prodigy, Optimo, LFO or Joakim. After establishing the infamous Electroclash night "WE ARE ELECTRIFIED" and touring for Vice Magazine for a while, he got a residency at Sven Väth's Cocoon Club and is playing his out of the box sets in cities like Shanghai, Paris, Palermo, Tbilisi and Berlin. 

With Blank Wave and Discocaine, Shia LaBiff has two hearts beating in one chest between the harsh beats of Cold & Dark Wave, Acid House, EBM and New Beat on the one hand and the catchy chords of Italo, Disco, Synthwave and Proto-House on the other. This dichotomy also runs like a line through his productions, which will see the light of day in 2025.

Blank Wave's anniversary celebration just recently took place with Local Suicide and a series of live showcases are in line for Q4 - including one of the most influential EBM bands of the 80s (guess who?)! Furthermore, Blank Wave will soon be hitting the screens of arthouse cinemas, bringing you the best of both worlds - music and film. 

But that's not all. Stay tuned to see what happens next. At this point, a big thank you to our followers and friends as well as to all the artists who have contributed with their creativity and passion to the constant development of Blank Wave. ┋Lars Neubert presents Afterhour Sounds Podcast Nr.66┋

Vor mittlerweile mehr als 14 Jahren entdeckte unser heutiger Podcastler “Lars Neubert” bereits seine große Liebe für die elektronische Musik und speziell für das klassische DJing. 
Zu dieser Zeit studierte er in der sächsischen Metropole Dresden, wo er auch seine ersten Auftritte gefeiert hatte. Seither ist er als DJ schon viel herum gekommen und durfte bereits in solch namhaften Clubs wie dem Sisyphos oder der Ritter Butzke hinter den Decks stehen.
 
Auf die ersten Bookings folgten nur wenig später auch die ersten eigenen Produktionen, welche 2006 erstmals offiziell released wurden, zu jener Zeit auf dem ehemaligen Dresdner Label “Audiomorph” (heute WBA Records), weitere Veröffentlichungen erfolgten auf so bekannten Labels wie Casual Lab, Auditive, Eclaire The Heart, Wonnemusik uvm.

Für unsere 66.Ausgabe hat sich der liebe Lars Neubert ganz besonders ins Zeug gelegt und passender Weise ein 66 minütiges Meisterwerk geschaffen, welches durch eine ganz besonders treibende und groovige Note besticht. Unsere Afterhour ist damit mindestens für den heutigen Sonntag definitiv gerettet ;)
