Critically acclaimed Copenhagen-based DJ, jazz drummer and producer SLOWOLF is back with new single, "The Ring".

Featuring the vocal talents of hot US export, LA-based singer and rapper Pell, "The Ring" is the first track from SLOWOLF’s much anticipated forth coming EP "White Feathers" and features his trademark future hip hop / bass production, that has already landed him pole position on iTunes and Hype Machine for a previous innovative remix of MØ’s ”Walk This Way” and won early support from key taste makers including BBC Radio, The Guardian, Noisey, Wonderland Magazine, Complex, Pigeons and Planes, Line Of Best Fit and The Quietus!

SLOWOLF, who describes the track as drawing inspiration from acts as diverse as Outkast to Talk Talk rates Pell as one of the best artists out there at the moment, and an opportunity to work with him, was not to be missed. SLOWOLF stated: “I was completely sold the first time I heard Pell’s music and didn’t doubt for one second that we should work together. His vibe is really positive and deep at the same time. He is 100% unique and to me he is one of the greatest talents in the US right now. We are both tripping over this song that is super pop, dreamy and cinematic at the same time. If Outkast was formed tomorrow it would probably sound like this song! We had a great timing making the track and shooting the video was hilarious. We almost got beaten with a baseball bat shooting on location in the US…”

Pell stated: “Working with SLOWOLF was interesting in the fact that we come from two different worlds brought together by music. It's a true collaboration of unique and varied styles. The Ring is one of my favorite projects to be apart of thus far in 2016!”

The White Feathers EP will showcase SLOWOLF at his most focused and adventurous, seamlessly weaving all of SLOWOLF’s pop, hip hop and grime influences together in one wonderful mix. Tracks are distinct, but the EP is firmly held together with SLOWOLF’s unique and stylist sonic vision - positive future hip-hop, featuring a variety of soon to be announced artists, ranging from high profile US vocalists to MCs making a splash in the UK Grime scene. Further tracks and info about the EP will be announced shortly.

The single “The Ring” feat. Pell is out on February 5th. The EP “White Feathers” is out on April 1st 2016 via Playground Music.

Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, DJ & producer SLOWOLF’s powerful sound rolls over the current wave of low-slung, futuristic hip-hop, underpinned by oversized, heavy bass notes and a barely restrained, pulsating beat, described best by Noisey as “adrenaline heavy and genre-defining.”
Recently progressing from drummer to DJ & producer; duly hitting No.1 on the Danish iTunes chart, with BBC Radio 1Xtra’s MISTAJAM calling him “very special” and everyone from Pigeons & Planes, Wonderland and Vice, to Clash, i-D and the Guardian drooling over his debut EPs. Pulling in verses from a delightfully diverse batch of wordsmiths, on the “Wolf Grey” and “Bounty” EPs, you’ll find Wu-Tang Clan chief RAEKWON, alongside MTA Records’ UK grime prince DREAM MCLEAN, to feature alongside frequent Rihanna/Chase & Status/Example collaborator Takura.
SLOWOLF’s recent official remixes of Shift K3y’s “I Know” and Iggy Azalea’s “Beg For It” have garnered similar attention, with radio support from the likes of DIPLO and ANNIE MAC. SLOWOLF’s huge remix of MØ’s “Walk This Way” jumped straight to the No. 1 position on the main Hype Machine chart, with over 250k Soundcloud plays in just two weeks.
Eschewing a typical DJ set, SLOWOLF draws upon his background as a drummer to bash out crazy live rhythms across an MPC, showcased on club and festival stages across the world, from Roskilde Festival in Denmark to Storm Festival in Shanghai. 
More big remixes and a new EP from the wunderkind producer, featuring some very exciting names, is released early 2016.
