DEMORALIZING, DEHUMANIZING, & ENTIRELY CORRUPT  

The deranged occultist, Sean Knight Nicholson (CUTTER MATTOCK), is an experimental electronic musician from Los Angeles, who immerses listeners in dismal, otherworldly compositions sure to induce a caliginous state of euphoria. 

With roots in metal and hardcore punk, he translates the same antiestablishment rebelliousness into experimental club, hardcore, horror film composition, dark ambient, digital black metal, doomer, & phonk. He gained some recognition on soundcloud making experimental phonk, bass, and techno around the age of 19, but then took a long hiatus. At 28, he began to DJ/release music under ‘CUTTER MATTOCK’, with no hesitation exhibiting his eclectic taste and obscure religious ideology, using his self-studies in fields like demonology, witchcraft & magick, theology, ethnology, world art history, and political science to fuel his drive in portraying dark historical and social themes. Often times, his approach to making music is similar to the Stanislavski method, having intense, sometimes harmful, physical and psychological demands.

Growing up in a family of horror actors, he draws great inspiration from his grandfather, Jack Nicholson (The Shining, The Terror), and his grandmother Sandra Knight (The Terror, Blood Bath). Sean was born with his mother’s last name. Many tabloids have his name wrong, demonstrating their lack of credible information.
