Been the obscure counterpart of the Light Elves, the Dark Elves resided in Svartálfheim. The Dark Elves hated the sun and it's sunlight, because if they were touched or exposed to it they would immediately turn into stone. They use to annoy and threaten humans, to the point that nightmares were thought to be produced by the Dark Elves. These Dark Elves were called mare. Sly Finnigan is the musical alias of entrepeneur, DJ and producer Joseph Ashburner from South Africa.

Joseph began has been producing music and Djing for over 15 years including major DJ gigs opening for some of the countries top electronic acts at the Grahamstown Arts festival. 

He completed a diploma in audio engineering at Cape Audio College in 2009 with distinction. After this Joseph began working on the web and shifted his focus, eventually starting his own successful online business.

After being out of the scene for many years, with only a few impromptu appearances in-between(Red Telephone / Monastery / Tunnels), he has been slowly refining his muscial repertoire once again to help push the boundaries of electronic music.

A jack of all trades, Joseph's love of music extends to multiple genres, including Psy Trance, Techno, House, Dubstep, Indie Accoustic, Hip Hop, Classical and everything in-between.

His current DJ and production style is predominately focused on Psy Trance, followed by Techno and House music.
