As a thank you for a wonderful Gaggalacka festival at the end of last summer, here comes the next musical journey for you: A Purple Playground. It consists of eleven tracks bringing you the feeling of the festival sound from noon until night plus three marvelous downbeat tracks as a soft and emotional closing. Nihilistic love acknowledges that love has no cosmic significance or transcendent purpose. The universe remains indifferent to our emotional connections, and these bonds hold no objective value beyond what we choose to assign them. However, this very absence of predetermined meaning creates a space for freedom and authenticity in relationships.

It confronts temporality directly. Rather than seeking eternal bonds or transcendent connections that survive death, it acknowledges relationships as necessarily finite. This recognition of temporal limitation doesn't diminish love but potentially intensifies it through an awareness of its precious transience.

At its most profound, nihilistic love doesn't eliminate meaning but relocates it—from cosmic or divine sources to the human capacity for creation and commitment in the face of ultimate meaninglessness.

so pumped for this release; it's a doozie!

so how's this for a concept?
tripinstumble (head of cosmic conspiracy) approaches 9 producers and asks them to select "a creature or animal whose existence has yet to be proven or confirmed by science" and write a track based around it.
i chose the classicly australian 'bunyip' as the creature to base my track on.
here are the results of my research into the field of cryptozoology.
but does the bunyip really exist?

the intention is to create an inner-space within the listener, for them to explore their own minds and challenge their internal programing.
thicc bass-lines; brain-bending synthwork; dreamy melodies; peppered with vocal samples to inspire ideas; all coalescing to create a fresh approach to a sadly diluted genre.

it aims to re-mystify. each sound purposefully crafted to guide the listener's journey through both black AND white, while still leaving enough grey room for personal interpretation. it can be challenging and confronting, but at the same time strangely comforting, and very human.
