Asia was born in Sakhalin and now living in Berlin, has been constantly on the move, taking inspiration for her musical journey along the way. Her unrelenting desire to uncover hidden records and gems, and then transport them from dark depths into a seamless, electrifying composition is her constant motivation with electronic music.

 Exploration and surprise drives Asia, and she paves a beaming path to a melodic utopia packed full with adrenaline, to bring every twist and turn of her musical ride. Her sound tells powerful stories, capturing music, melodies and beats from all genres and origins, creating a unique sound producing an electric atmosphere.

 From techno, breakbeat and trance to hip hop, tribe, dubstep, house, electric sets to come together to drive an unchained and unpredictable atmosphere.

The silence is broken and the Hotbox returns once more, welcoming Riet (@riet_cs), a Brussels-born DJ now refining her craft in Berlin. Through this journey, Riet has found her greatest inspiration not in records alone but in people: the dancers in front of her, the friends sharing a booth…that dialogue continues in her selections: long, floating melodies answering back to short, peculiar beats, balancing deep, melodic textures with flashes of playful minimal. From backroom basements to open-air daydreams, her sound is always about creating place as much as it is about rhythm.

This mix is Riet at her most distilled, turning to the tracks she had prepared for a rainy Renate Garten that never came to be. A patient arc that ebbs and swells, it’s transportive yet physical, the kind of set you experience with your eyes half-closed and your feet still moving, capturing the longing of a summer moment lost but not forgotten.
