Tipping its gentlemen's hat to the Dickens' winter ghost story the festive folk song has already drawn the attention of Radio 2 getting a couple of plays before just before Christmas on Dermot O Learys radio show. 

Recorded and produced by Peter Bruntnell in "The Basement" studios in Morthoe, Devon. "A night full of ghosts" is the first new song in a couple of years to be released from Jim (small town Jones) whose next album "The sky down to the ground" should be ready sometime in early 2015.

Songs taken from the new album "Sky down to the ground" from singer-songwriter Small Town (Jim) Jones to be self released on 1st November 2015 on Jim Jones & Peter Bruntnells "Domestico Records" label. 

Having raised all the funds back in January via Kickstarter Jim chose the Morthoe Basement studio on the beautiful North Devon coast near to his home that inspired his first album “Daylight and stars”. 

The album is produced by the acclaimed singer songwriter and producer Peter Bruntnell.

As well as featuring the playing of long time musical compadre’s Peter Bruntnell, David Little and new drummer Mike Reed the new album also features the beautiful guest vocals of Australian singer songwriter Emily Barker on the hauntingly filmic track “The Long Goodbye” which is graced by the guitar & fiddle playing of U.S. band Son Volt’s Dave Boquist. 

Influences of Wilco, Nick Drake & Elliott Smith weave  their way through the new songs creating a soundscape of beauty intensity and texture that frame heartfelt, emotional lyrics in a way that Small Town Jones is fast becoming known for. 

After recording in Texas for the successful last album “Freight ships” Jim’s journey has continued to take him to some great places where the door continues to push open seeing him play Dermot O’Leary’s Radio 2 Saturday sessions as well as playing support slots to Ray Davies,Ethan Johns,  Damien Jurado, & Sara Watkins to name a few. Small Town Jones has also toured with the Peter Bruntnell band and continues to gain momentum and support with the view of touring his new release late 2015 and early 2016.

Road To You
