Real World Records was founded by WOMAD and Peter Gabriel to provide talented artists from around the world with access to state-of-the-art recording facilities and audiences beyond their geographic region.

Launched in 1989, Real World Records has grown into a label of wide-ranging, world-class music from all corners of the globe.

Drummer, composer, arranger and teacher, Andrea Ruggeri began playing the drums at the age of eleven, perfecting himself mainly by self-taught and participating in various seminars, master classes and research laboratories (Conservatorio G. P. Da Palstrina di Cagliari, Siena Jazz University, Nuoro Jazz). Active in jazz music, free improvisation and world music, he has performed with Paolo Fresu, Antonello Salis, Furio Di Castri, Stefano Battaglia, Ralph Alessi, Mauro Sigura Quartet, Ares Tavolazzi, Simone Guiducci, Rita Marcotulli, Elena Ledda, Savina Yannatou, Yannis Alexandris, Haris Lambrakis, Antonio Placer, Jean-Marie Machado, Stracho Temelkovski, performing solo and in ensemble concerts in Italy, Austria, France, Germany, Belgium, Greece, Spain, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Norway , Russia, Morocco, and recording over forty albums. He is among the best new talents and his ARE Andrea Ruggeri Ensemble among the best lineup of the Top Jazz 2023, a referendum announced every year by Italian magazine Musica Jazz

This is a new community of song-collecting enthusiasts who strive to empower a new generation of collection and distribution of old, orally-transmitted song and wider culture.

Despite wide assumption that all the traditional singers have long passed away and no more culture is passed on through the oral tradition, there is in fact a wealth of song held by those unknown by the wider traditional music community.

PittRiversound is the audio stream for the Pitt Rivers Museum's sound collections, the core of which consists of a unique sound archive of ethnographic recordings.

We currently curate more than 1000 hours of Bayaka music from the rainforests of the Central African Republic recorded by Louis Sarno and a unique collection of recordings from Vanuatu by Raymond Clausen, among many other collections. Our archive also includes music from Colombia, India, Uganda and China, and we are in the process of digitising, cataloguing and making them available. Also included in this stream are recordings of ethnomusicological, anthropological and ethnographic talks, sound art, and other audio gems from the collections at the Pitt Rivers Museum.

NewWorldBuzz is an on-line radio station that specializes in current and classic world music. The station features selected tracks from the current chart listings of the top world music albums plus selections from the latest releases. NWB also airs exclusive interviews with some of world music's top artists.

I am an Italian accordionist, audio enthusiast, and sound artist based in Bruxelles. I focus on the possibilities of accordion through collaborative processes with composers and artists, and I create sounds art that makes connections and listening possibilities explicit through field recording, accordion, pedalboards, electronics and synths.
I regularly performs in duo with Promenade Sauvage, I collaborates with Ictus Ensemble, I teaches accordion at the Conservatorio di Cosenza, and I am a researcher and Music Technology professor at the Conservatory of Bruxelles. I also received a Bachelor’s degree in Italian Literature and I lead BlowOutStudio. 
My stakes on this path are concerts (Konzerthaus Wien, Harvard University, Berklee College of Music, Bayreuther Festspiele, Tokyo Opera City Hall, Teatro La Fenice), discs, lectures and the project “accordion4composers”. 
I am a tireless traveler, constantly attracted by the diversity of the world and its inhabitants.
