ALTERSAGA is a new roleswap AU heavily inspired by "Altertale" pair-swaps aspect: Toriel, Asgore, & Asriel <-> Sans, Papyrus, & Gaster. However, in ALTERSAGA, there is more than just the abovementioned pair-swap. We will talk about this later but for now...

Monster Kid takes the role of Alphys. Although it is true that they fill the role of the scientist, they are no longer a kid and have reached adulthood. Their personality is... rather altered from their original one, mainly because of their tortuous trauma in the past. They are one of the survivor of the mysterious SOUL incident, but unfortunately that's what causes half of their body to be extremely corrupted (especially taking some aspects from Goner Kid). Thus, a never-ending ordeal has begun for this poor monster. Once a lively happy kid turned into hopeless adult who lost all of their friends. Despite being lucky, they would rather disappear together with their friends than having to live with only half of his body. Thankfully, there is someone to genuinely look after them, and you know who that person is! Strange thing is... with their half body glitching, they can both see and hear some sort of... anomaly(?) I wonder if they can use that ability to directly communicate their lost friends from another dimension.

So yes, Sans takes the role of Undyne. If you think this song is unfitting for its title or replacement, then you're exactly right! That is the idea. One thing's for sure, he may be fairly lax and friendly as usual, but he's not letting the automaton go without a fight. It's not entirely clear what his deal is with them, but he certainly doesn't trust them.

One more IF remaster for something that wasn't in the OST list. I doubt many of you are very familiar with this one, but the original played during Undyne's call with Sans in Snowdin and her reaction to the resolution of the Alphys fight. B: "Hey look, what's over there?"

Berdly and Kris walks by the... for some reason, heart-themed tea cups.

B: "Uh..."
B: "(Well this is awkward.)"
B: "Anyways, Kris, maybe we should walk the other way??"

K: "What? Scared I'll play a kissy-face on you or something?"

B: "(????????????)"
B: "N-no!??"
B: "..."
B: "Forget it, j-just get in!"
B: "I-It's not like we're going on a romantic date!!"
B: "After all, I have quite a high standard for that!"

K: "Pffft, if you say so."(B: I'm serious!!)

The two get into the tea cups.

B: "(Damn it, this is ridiculous as hell!)"
B: "(Why do I even bother, honestly??)"
B: "(Actually, what should I even do here, Noelle WOULD know what to do!)"

B: "Yeah, but have you also considered how concerningly (and laughably) ludicrous that is and 99.9% would backfire on you."

K: "You made a good point, though".

B: "Anyways, like I said, this feels nice."
B: "Don't you think so too, Kris?"

K: "Yeah..."
K: "At last, a moment of peace."
K: "Hope it'll stay this way until the end of the dream."

B: "Ah, well, I wish I could go on more adventure like this."
B: "I can be anything I want, and nobody can pressure me into becoming someone I don't want to be."
B: "No strict and especially stupid rules and laws, no more than a worthwhile freedom we can all luxuriate in."
B: "For the very least, it lifts my little feathered tail."

K: "(Berdly has a tail, what???)"

B: "It saves me from living without a purpose, you know?"
B: "This prodigious realm is just beyond reproach for a true gamer like me!"(K: Hoo boy, here we go again.)

Napstablook is the Ruins Dummy replacement, and one of Gaster's Followers -- the one at the front -- is the Napstablook replacement. The other Gaster Followers are along for the ride as well. After the tragic demise of Dr. Gaster and Dr. Alphys quit, this Follower moved its way to the Ruins where it would try and convince Alphys to return to the lab some day, if only to carry on Dr. Gaster's legacy.

The Gaster Followers didn't really have a place to stay and Napstablook decided to let the trio crash with them. The Followers have taken up the hobby of making small inventions and contraptions, and they're slowly trying to build their way up to bigger things.

The Followers, as they've been living with Napstablook for a little while, have picked up on some of their traditions and interests. One of these traditions is lying on the floor and feeling like garbage. They don't really talk about their feelings a whole lot, they just let themselves feel and process things that way.
