Enkō [Hayes Collective | Portugal]

An explorer of ambience and rhythm, Enkō has made his performance behind the decks a place for experimentation and elevation of dance music. Be it in closing sessions, long marathon sets or opening slots, the fluidity, drive and depth of Enkō’s sessions are bound to preserve the crowd’s interest and remain vivid after their finale. A core member of Portuguese flagship techno outfit Hayes Collective, founder of Ocaso and radio host at Rádio Quântica with Omtanke, Enkō’s musical output is diverse and should be viewed as an attempted form of communication, a bridge between emotion and reason, and especially as the oneiric alternative we all anticipate from a dance affair.

MindTrip Podcats episode 27 welcomes one of Serbia's finest Techno exports Filip Xavi. He is one of the authentic representatives of Belgrade's Techno scene the last decade. He's been a rebel against any genre/trend confinements since the day he got involved into techno music and he was mostly attracted by dark and abstract music structures. Dasha Rush remixed his debut vinyl EP on Sonntag Morgen in 2015 and his music has been published on various labels like Dynamic Reflection, Subsist, Decoder Recordings and his very own imprint Teskoba Recordings. The past few years he's been resident at the Drugstore club in Serbia and he has hosted names like Rodhad, DVS1, Dasha Rush, Surgeon, Oscar Mulero, Blawan and more. Until today he continues to pursue his mission of taking the audience into the uncharted territory of sound and space, an approach that fills the dancefloor with mystique and suspense on a path to catharsis. Bernardo Hangar es una auténtica institución en la escena Techno de Andalucía, y una de las personalidades más prominentes del circuito a nivel nacional. Su carrera abarca ya varias décadas, puesto que fue uno de los primeros pinchadiscos genuinamente underground de la comunidad autónoma, en un momento en el que España estaba literalmente “en pañales” en lo que música electrónica se refiere.

Natural de Córdoba, Bernardo Hangar comienza su carrera influido por el Hip Hop, aunque la explosión de la Electronic Body Music acaba subyugando su estilo y haciendo de él uno de los artistas más vanguardistas y arriesgados del sur de Europa.

Era normal, en aquella época, verlo pasear su maleta de vinilos –en los que hay clásicos que valen su plástico en oro- por los mejores clubs de toda España, así como algunos de los festivales más importantes que se celebraban: Esparrago Rock, SONAR, Festimad, FIB, RC 01, Electrosplash... También allende de las fronteras, en países como Francia o Alemania.

Después de un largo periodo de reflexión y duro trabajo de producción, decide crear su propio sello DarkForest, donde busca nuevos paisajes sonoros comprometidos con el lado más oscuro de la naturaleza, lanzando su primer EP “Starting Point” en Septiembre de 2016, eso le impulsa a crear producciones en diferentes sellos como Sub TL, Emphatic, Logical Methods, Signal Rec. y la continuación de muchas mas referencias en su propio sello.

Milimétrica, contundente y oscura, la música de Bernardo Hangar no solo no ha perdido un ápice de la fuerza que tenía cuando empezaba, sino que escuchada hoy –en una época de copia incansable de lo pasado-, parece igual de necesaria que entonces.

Justine Perry is a Berlin-based techno DJ. Attracted by the Berlin club scene, her sets are influenced by dark and deep techno, bringing the public to a hypnotic experience. Setting up in Berlin, she starting her collaboration with new artistic projects like Art Bei Ton and helped those events to feature more female artists.

As part of the LGBT+ community, Justine embraces the need of getting a more safe and diverse scene, involving more women and queer artists, as well as fighting against any form of discrimination.

Established herself in Europe, she played in prestigious venues, such as Rex Club in Paris, Khidi in Tbilisi, Griessmühle, or Tresor in Berlin, as well as some festivals, like Forte Festival in Portugal and soon Instytut Festival in Poland. Her work has allowed her to perform alongside renowned artists such as Peter Van Hoesen, Luigi Tozzi, Blazej Malinowski, Claudio PRC, Lotus Eater (Lucy & Rrose), Hemka, and more.

She performed at the finest European radio stations like Red Light Radio, Hoer Berlin, Rinse FM or Clubbing TV.

In 2020, in collaboration with Petit Astronaute, Justine Perry released her first track « Swell » out on DNC Limited.

Cyklos is the project of the Catalan dj & producer based in Barcelona, Javier Sánchez.
His sounds are deep, atmospheric and are underlined by kick drums and hi-hats in their purest energetic form. A good mix of classic and contemporary, old and new, reality and hypnosis.
In recent years he has played in the main clubs/events in Barcelona, but also made his debut at KHIDI in Tbilisi (Georgia).
Since the early 2019 is an active member of BAHN· collective and its label BAHN· Records, founded in 2020.
As producer, Cyklos has released in labels such as Concerns Music, Analog Section, Subsist or UTCH, to name a few.
