Once a year, BOHO and CELIC unite their creative forces to release a distinctive EP on JAW. This time, they are graced by the enchanting vocals of France-based BONNIE SPACEY, adding a touch of elegance to the tracks. Furthermore, the EP features a brilliantly groovy indie dance remix by the illustrious SNYL. Dive into the "LATIN ADDICTION" EP and allow its rhythms to become your latest earworm.

After having released on AEON and Roam Recordings, Franz Matthews returns home on his  HIFI/LOFI imprint by releasing his Symmetric Dance EP, showing us once more how the  producer likes to play with the codes of House, Space Disco, and Indie Dance by intertwining  them and turning them into his very own secret sauce.
 
The trip starts with the eponymous Symmetric Dance, where a faster-than-usual Franz brings us into the groove  with a deep bass line supporting the words of a sort of musical guru, leading you (yes, you.) progressively into  the ecstatic moment of the Symmetric Dance, here materialised by a catchy house-y piano part that later exploses  into a festival of notes before coming back to an infamous rhythm that we dare you not to dance to. Is it summer  yet ? Yes, probably. 

Moving on to Zero Gravity, we step into a fast-paced ride of cosmic synth escapades that take our vehicle on a  full throttle run until it has left the launching ramp and floats into mid-air, not really knowing when or where it will  land. But, just as you finished catching your breath again, you land back on earth, full speed, and navigate in the  middle of another asteroid galaxy tour, taking a few Machs along the way until it is time for the next bump. Will  you land back on your feet this time ? Yes, probably. 

Closing the cosmic ride, the slower ‘Herbie Crashed The Party’ is a progressive burner constructed around a  centre ARP2600 synth line evolving throughout the whole track and being joined by funky guitars, heady synth  ornementations, and a stabby brass ensemble that opens up the door to what seems to be the ghost of an  unusual guest as the party goes on, which makes us wonder if it was a good idea to let Herbie Hancock in at the  party ? And again we will answer : Yes, probably.

FEINSTOFF PREMIERE: Franz Matthews - Zero Gravity [HIFI LOFI]

Radial Gaze and Geopard Tourist present Cactus Chronicles, a captivating EP on the Epicure Records label. The first track, also titled "Cactus Chronicles," blends hypnotic sounds with danceable rhythms, creating an immersive and magnetic atmosphere. Its mesmerizing groove and deep textures make it a true gem of the project.

The second track, "Kamino," composed solely by Geopard Tourist, captures the essence of the Hungarian duo. Hypnotic vocals and punchy basslines intertwine to create a rich and intoxicating atmosphere, perfectly crafted from start to finish.

The EP is further elevated by a series of fascinating remixes. Neskeh reimagines Cactus Chronicles with his signature psychedelic touch, enriching the track with unique bass and percussion elements. Meanwhile, Leonor and Prinze focus on Kamino: Leonor delivers an energetic Trance version, while Prinze offers a smoother, more rhythmic interpretation, enhanced by ethereal pads that add an enchanting lightness.

Released on Epicure Records, this EP shines through its sonic diversity and the creativity of its remixes, which beautifully complement the original tracks.  Epicureans from everywhere, let's take a ride together !

An iconic artist of the underground dance scene for over two decades Christian Hornbostel has gathered quite a big crowd of followers with his consistent output of quality and varied styled productions. He was well known in the 90's for being one of the men behind Renaissance anthems Virtualmismo "Mismoplastico" and VFR "Tranceillusion" that were hammered by Sasha & John Digweed during their sets and included on their groundbreaking "Renaissance" compilation. The German artist's production career has seen him work with some of the industry's finest imprints and had appearance on hugely successful early "Global Underground" series as well. Over the years he remixed great artists ranging from Satoshi Tomiie to Joi Cardwell, from Deep Forest to Vanessa St. James & Grammy awarded Lou Reed (Velvet Underground). In 2018 he enjoyed a whirlwind of success releasing a string of club-smashing solo singles and he found himself catapulted into the electronic and techno big leagues; and, by continuing to release acclaimed singles and remixes he firmly established himself as a truly multi-faceted producer of top-quality dance music which brought him #4 position in Traxsource Top 100 Techno Artists of the year. More than 1.000 production credits sit proudly next to Hornbostel's name as his latest work has found him supported by the DJ elite from DJ Rush and Chris Liebing to Petar Dundov, Sasha & John Digweed.
