With over five decades of success and influence, Vincent Montana Jr., Producer, Arranger, Composer, Conductor and renowned Vibraharpist, continues to be a vital force in music today. With countless gold and platinum awards to his name, his contribution and dedication to the music industry has inspired and profoundly affected many producers, DJs, artists, musicians, listeners and dancers alike. 

Among the numerous credits to his name, Montana is most recognized for his integral role in both the development of 'The Philadelphia Sound' as key MFSB rhythm section member and established studio musician for Philadelphia International Records as well as dance pioneer of the 'Disco Era' as the creative and driving force behind the legendary Salsoul Orchestra. Further contributions include his remarkable productions with The Montana Orchestra and Goody Goody (Atlantic Records) and particularly, the signature club classics on his own “Philly Sound Works” label.

Given the era in which these recordings were made, the music of Vincent Montana, Jr. was produced with a futuristic perspective; this is evident due to the fact that his grooves and riffs are still being sampled and utilized to this day. The staying power of his enduring career is certainly because of his exceptional good taste and diversified talent, but also is the fact that although he is firmly rooted in traditional instruments and ways, he has managed to embrace newer styles and to use technology to his advantage.

Even now Montana continues to make his mark on the industry, whether directly through his efforts with today's most prominent artists and producers - Dimitri From Paris: "The Way You Love Me", Masters At Work: “Nuyorican Soul”, “The Boss”, “Always There”, David Morales: Pet Shop Boys “New York City Boy” or indirectly via sampling of his catalogue - DJ Spiller: “Groovejet-If This Ain’t Love”, Mariah Carey: “O.O.C.–Out Of Control” and the latest sample, Estelle Ft. Rick Ross: “Break My Heart”. Both the man and his music show no signs of slowing down. He returns once again with his latest projects complete with lush strings, distinct arrangements, cool vibes and all the added touches, quality, musicianship and originality expected of a “Montana Production”.

Next up on The Reflex’s official vinyl label DISCOLIDAYS is a two tracker fully licensed from Cerrone via Because Music / Malligator featuring first time ever multi remix from the classic ‘Look For Love’ by The Reflex (the original was released on his Cerrone IV album in 1978) b/w a welcome repress of The Reflex revision of ‘Hooked On You’ (Cerrone #1 remix of all Cerrone remixes on Spotify) that was only available on a super limited 12” back in 2015.
Both remixes have been released digitally by Because / Malligator on the ‘Cerrone x The Reflex’ EP last April, and Cerrone generously granted a licence to The Reflex in order to release it officially on his label DISCOLIDAYS second release.
Cerrone loved the remixes so much that both are now integral part of his Live / DJ set and ‘Look for Love’ will be the only remix done by someone else featured on his forthcoming album ‘Cerrone by Cerrone’ which sees the disco legend revisiting his own back catalogue.
The vinyl went straight to the top of Juno Records overall charts on pre-orders alone, the day before its official release date.

Gina Lunata is a transfemale DJ, producer, and influencer whose honest and inspiring transition journey since 2023 has touched thousands. With over 20 years of experience producing and DJing within the progressive house and breaks scenes, Gina has performed across the London underground and at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), impressing audiences with her eclectic, beat-driven, and emotionally resonant sets.

Her debut EP features two contrasting tracks: The Message You Sent introduces a vibrant indie house vibe, full of fresh energy and new sonic territory for Move Music. In contrast, Ur No Good For Me offers a laid-back disco house groove with funky rhythms, creating a relaxed, beach house atmosphere perfect for chilled listening and easy-going environments.

There’s a new Technicolor musical phenomenon emitting from the Morphogenetic Field… Known as The Emanations, this new project will act as a vessel for Greg and Ché Wilson to explore a new cut and paste approach to production. Sending fragments of classic and cult classic dance tracks through their sonic prism to create fresh hybrids.

The past couple of years have been prolific for the pair in the studio, turning their hand to a number of varied official remixes, including Sleight Of Hands’ 10CC cover for Green Gorilla Lounge, The Cuban Brothers cover of Razzy’s Northern Soul classic, Heavenly Records Melbourne-based outfit Confidence Man, Hipnotic’s early ‘80s boogie, Brooklyn collective Underground System on Soul Clap Records, Serbian electronic live act Bella Technika and the Confidence Man-affiliated Jungle Giants – with further mixes delivered and in the pipeline.

The Emanations project has been developing alongside this plethora of remixes, with Greg and Ché utilising stems provided by Tyrell, the Canadian-based multi-instrumentalist also responsible for replaying the parts for Rolling Stones/Massive Attack mash-up ‘Two Sides Of The Sympathy’ and SWS Chemise cover, ‘She Can’t Love You’.

‘Love’ is the first offering from the project, and links back to the beginnings of Super Weird Substance. Like with the label’s debut release, ‘Summer Came My Way’, the song was originally written by Greg Wilson and performed by The Reynolds for Schooled In The Classics.

This time however, it was mixed down at SWS HQ. Blending and fusing Tyrell’s re-recordings, GW and CW fed The Reynolds through a vocoder, inviting deeply emotive flautist Manon McCoy to add a delicate layer of ethereal magic.

The Emanations - Love

Smashed Atoms is the musical alter-ego of Steve Gladdis, a producer and DJ based in North London.  

Smashed Atoms has released music on Late Night Tales, Too Slow To Disco, Hot Digits Music, Paper Disco and other purveyors of quality dance music.

The Moving Parts EP was released on Hot Digits Music on 2nd November 2020, featuring collaborations with Kathy Diamond and Backdoor Man.
