Hailing from the Australian city of Brisbane, Ned realised music was his passion from the tender age of 4 when he used to sit beside his Grandfather  at the piano. Those moments stirred a thirst for music which saw him start the keyboard at age 5, followed by the organ at age 8, flute at age 10, sax at age 13 and guitar in his late teens. He began writing songs from the age of 15 and began playing in bands at the age of 17.

From 2000 to 2006, Ned was a member of Shifter - winners of Australian national radio competition 'JJJ Unearthed'.  During his time with Shifter, he played support shows for Blondie, Evermore, Eskimo Joe, Grinspoon  and The Living End to name a few.  The band went on to play the well know Big Day Out Festival, as well as tours of both Australia and the US where they picked up US Management.

Ned left the band to persue a solo career in 2006 and after spending time travelling through Europe, he returned to Australia to record his debut EP, Where to From Here. 

With his distinctive voice, strong melodies and soulful lyrics,   Ned is now residing in London where he continues to win over audiences with his soul baring performances.
