When Dutch dynamo Sidney Samson paired up with fellow label producer Yves V for the #4 smash ‘Magic’, one of the early Smash The House contenders for track of the year was unearthed. Now, reuniting with fellow Netherlands hot shot Gwise – the first since their debut collaboration ‘GO’ – Sidney and Gwise ask ‘Guess Who’s Back’ for Smash The House in fierce, fine form. 

Keys that send hips shaking before power-boosted synths take over the beat, showing that G Wise and Sidney Samson were only going to turn the dial right up to 11 for their reunion release, making for a track that has already drawn in support from label bosses Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike and other huge names out in Miami this year. 

With one of the most memorable melodies of the season, packed with an added party-starting punch that will have festival crowds going crazy, make ‘Guess Who’s Back’ your Summer anthem, out on Beatport May 4th.

EDX Kicks Off 2016 With New Deep House Anthem, "Missing"
 
After a tremendous 2015 that was punctuated with being named the #1 charting Beatport artist of the year over international heavyweights like Tiesto and Maceo Plex, EDX is kicking off 2016 on a high note with his first original of the year, “Missing” featuring Mingue, which is out now on Spotify, and due out on Beatport on February 12th via Spinnin’ Deep. 
On “Missing,” EDX tabs the up-and-coming songstress, Mingue, for a modern-day performance of Everything but the Girl’s record of the same name, while infusing the track with his signature deep house sound. The track opens with a curtain of shimmering piano melodies that is peeled back to reveal a chunky beat, catchy hook, and soft, thudding bass stabs that give “Missing” a deep groove. 

The Swiss-born producer / DJ was responsible for some of the biggest tracks of the year in 2015, including his original, “Belong,” his “Indian Summer” remix of Sam Feldt’s “Show Me Love,” which went on to become EDX’s most played track on SoundCloud with over 60 million streams, and his “Ibiza Sunrise” remix of Robin Schulz’s “Sugar,” that went on to receive gold and platinum certifications in various countries. With “Missing,” EDX is looking to add to his impressive string of Beatport-dominating releases before embarking on his NoXcuses vs. Enormous Tunes bus tour that will hit major cities across the United States and Canada.

The year was 1936 — it was the height of the great depression. The Bearded Man was a plucky young buck, with plenty of grit and more than his fair share of gumption. Sure, times were tough, but none of that mattered when you were the finest grifter on the east side. In a play that would be talked about for generations, our hero prepared himself for the con of the century. A makeshift catamaran casino was set to leave the port at 8:30 P.M. sharp, and all the high rollers would be there. He’d scored himself a pretty decent suit after a small pickpocketing job the week before, and he was told from the barber that despite his upbringing, he cleaned up real good. Together with Bit Pythagoras, the team plotted to overtake Boss Hendricks, one of the meanest mugs in all of organized crime. All the biggest pimps were there, from two-gun Tommy Johnson to Fatass McGee. The Bearded Man sat down at the cards table, with a $100,000 minimum buy-in. The dealer dealt the first hand… The tension was palpable. At that moment, The Bearded Man yelled “FIRE!”, and when everyone got up to the deck, our crew simply pushed all the bad guys overboard, took the money, and sailed away in the catamaran. It was surprisingly easy and not dramatic at all. Hey! No one said it was a smart plan, or even a clever one, but damnit, it worked!
