MATTN continues rapidly rising through the ranks with new single ‘Jungle Fever’

MATTN  is one of Smash The House’s prime artists to watch right now. After collaborating with Futuristic Polar Bears and Olly James on summer smash hit ‘Throne’ earlier this year, she burst onto the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll as 2018’s highest new entry. As the first female artist on the label, she holds her own with refined production techniques and exhilarating live performances. No stranger to the mainstage at festivals such as Tomorrowland and Sunburn, her fifth Smash The House release ‘Jungle Fever’ is a bass-heavy, festival-ready anthem with the strength of a thousand lions and the energy of a tropical rainforest storm.

This monstrous electro-house tune features tribal chants punctuated by euphoric claps that make it an instant big-room classic. The yield in the breakdown combines pulsating rhythms and filtered, inviting vocals to lull listeners into a sublime hypnosis, right before a gargantuan synth line rips through the jungle floor in a jubilant haze.

MATTN is back on Smash The House with warming anthem ‘Don’t Say A Word’ featuring ÆMES

MATTN has been on a roll recently on the release front, with standout outputs such as ‘Throne’ with Futuristic Polar Bears and Olly James being played across the world throughout the middle of last year, and now the Smash The House regular is back with another offering on the label, as ‘Don’t Say A Word’, originally premiered at Tomorrowland 2018, finally gets the release fans have been craving. 

The track features the vocal talents of burgeoning singer/songwriter ÆMES, which elevates ‘Don’t Say A Word’, ensuring it straddles the fine line between radio and dancefloor. A round organ introduces proceedings, setting out the track’s upbeat intentions from the start. MATTN’s production skills are on show in abundance, as a range of synth work, from the organ to the stuttering stab that is introduced, display an impressive proficiency in the studio, exemplified by a creative edge that is on show throughout, such as the use of violin and clever addition of a clock sample that builds the intensity heading towards the main drop. 

As the first signs of Spring start to show through the cold, gear up for the warmer months with this buoyant offering. With previous support from heavyweights such as Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Blasterjaxx, Maddix and R3HAB, ‘Don’t Say A Word’ looks set to further increase the ever-expanding reputation of MATTN, helped in no small degree by the luscious vocals of ÆMES.
