Janusz and Justin development

Symbols are currently a 2-piece production and performance team from Melbourne, Australia. Consisting of Justin Ossher on vocals and Sam McNicol on guitar, the duo use electronic instruments and rock performance ideals to create their own psychedelic sound.

"We're trying to bridge the gap between producers and rock bands" says Justin, "we're not just 2 dudes in the corner of the club playing our guitars but we're not two hip hop dj's just spinning tracks and laying down beats either. It's about having fun trying something absolutely bangin' but mutable in a way that a fully live band can be."

In their Melbourne studio, Justin and Sam are already writing new material in this format that just seems to flow so easily. "This project has been in the making since the beginning of the year and is the first EP of works that will include another EP followed by an album."

Sam has played in several bands and been involved in recording music projects, TV and film. He spent 6 weeks in India earlier this year recording folk music. "To me, the nexus where musical traditions meet is the most interesting place of all; Symbols is a space where every sound, image, voice and idea have equal status. The music has not restrictions imposed through instrumentation or stylistic considerations but is given the strength by the intent that drives it."

Sydney design team todesign.com.au have again designed the new album and merchandise and this site is the fourth project that they have designed over the years for Justin. There's a growing number of visitors to his myspace site and a growing fan base on the more serious music portal Number One Music which has put his music in front of more than 120,000 visitors in the last year with over 800,000 plays. This year will be full on production and a lot of video capture and editing to expand into the audio visual potential of multimedia.

Robin Low is a electronic and organic based artist. Combining both digital and analogue gear, he has conducted a original design of music.
