HOW IT ALL STARTED : 
One night.
Back-to-back records.
One dance floor bursting at the seams.
Receptive. Captive. Grooving.

Hypnotising bodies by the harmony emanating from the booth, with the conscience that something rare is happening, the transformation of affinities of one evening into bonded comrades, a sort of pact of sound in the style of Coppola's Outsiders.

WHO THEY ARE :
One managed the IRM label which released Traumer's first records and drank in wave (new, dark, synth), preferably English.
REMAIN passed via Rinse, Rex and a plethora of releases, while curating his own, MEANT Records.
The two share an obsession with the 90s, sometimes organic and saturated, sometimes melodic and synthetic.

THE FUTURE : 
The remainder of our 20s and all the years to come just have to watch out: the REMAIN+daWad duo present We Are Le Turfu.
The combo's first EP on Chloé's Lumière Noire label.

SNTMNTL 2024 OZORA FESTIVAL - OHMU STAGE

Povodom jubilarnog desetog nastavka ER45 podcasta naš Jogarde je to odlučio obilježiti sa 100 minuta duboke, atmosferične pa čak i ambijentalne glazbe. 

Čovjek koji glavom i bradom stoji iza afirmiranog Freilauf serijala ovim se podcastom osvrnuo na umjetnike i prijatelje koji su uvelike doprinjeli razvoju klupske kulture, kreiranju bezvremenskih trenutaka te na taj način na njemu i Freilaufu ostavili svoj vlastiti trag. 

Miks je snimljen u "Johannesburgu" u kasnim noćnim satima na standardnoj vintage opremi nakon povratka s upečatljivih putovanja i posjeta čarobnim mjestima koja se kriju na Jadranu. Stoga je ime miksa Adriatic CoolER i zaista je posebno iskustvo.

A cut-up vinyl mix of deep ex-Yu psychedelic gypsy grooves and oriental breaks (1969'-1987')

For the past two years I was obsessively digging up groovy exYu gypsy and oriental music, going through hundreds of records, discovering in fact that this is the original form of Balkan Funk music incorporating all the main afro american funk elements in an authentic and ancient style. The solid hypnotic groove, heavily syncopated rhythms, drum breaks, psychedelia, call and response, jazz and latin alike connections and crazy crazy soloing. Especially found in the Southern Serbia style which I like the most. The trouble is that all of these records are now considered rarities, as the printed volume of the records rarely exceeded 1000 copies.

This mix is basically a testiment of the original, ancient and authentic Funk presence in the Balkans, coming in fact from the gypsy community. I tried to capture the elongated hypnotic funk grooves, first electric accordion and synthesizer experiments in exYu gypsy music and deep deep melancholy ranging from suicidal to extreme merriness.

Obsessive-compulsive digger and turntable rocker, Dr. Smeđi Šećer is known for covering a wide spectrum of music from all over the World and beyond. In his thoroughly eclectic freestyle presentations of hard syncopated organic rhythms the dancers are always up for a complete surprise as the party can go in any direction imaginable. Be it psychedelic oriental belly dance music, Yugoslavian disco or heavily distorted garage rock, it all fits with koto drum solos from the far east, hard salsa and jazz-funk records sounding like they were pressed on another planet. As a rare expert for ex-Yugoslavian music, he also performs the notorious all vinyl YUGOĐUS sonic journey all over the Balkan region making people burn the soles right off their shoes. He lives in Rijeka, has a thick beard and makes beautiful babies.

Opsesivno-kompulzivan sonični arheolog i meštar gramofonske tehnike, Dr. Smeđi Šećer poznat je po svom potpuno eklektičnom pristupu izgradnje DJ setova. Opremljen najčudnijim diskografskim izdanjima, kombinira pjev udvaranja slavuja iz Vlasotinice s kolumbijskom hard salsom, ghetto footworkom, etiopskim jazzom kao i njemačkim pločama za navođenu meditaciju. Jedan je od rijetkih eksperata za raritetnu jugoslavensku glazbu svih usmjerenja isprešanu na vinilu striktno za plesne podije. U svom naširoko isplesanom programu Yugođus! izvrtio je sve od slovenskog big band jazz funka, hrvatskog soula, bosanskog disca, srpskog funk breakbeata i makedonskih kola. Živi od puštanja tuđe glazbe nepoznatim ljudima, vrtio je svuda i sa svima. Nađi ga u Rijeci.
