So after more than 25 years of constant experimenting with music this here is my modest attempt to come back to my roots, this is what i love to play! Acclaimed French DJ, producer and electronic music stalwart OXIA continues the roll-out of his much-anticipated new album Aelle with the release of Silk & Fur – the third single to be revealed ahead of the LP’s arrival in October. Following the warmly received Presence and the euphoric Colors of Life, this latest oﬀering sees OXIA reconnect with long-time friend and collaborator Yannick Baudino, alongside an evocative vocal performance from fellow Grenoble-based artist Hacène.

Co-produced with Baudino – with whom OXIA has previously released material on esteemed labels such as All Day I Dream, Saved and Gruuv – Silk & Fur is a finely crafted, slow-burning journey through rich melodic textures and hypnotic grooves. Making his debut under this name, Hacène’s emotive vocal weaves eﬀortlessly through the track’s intricate layers, adding depth to its refined, atmospheric sound.

Where Presence established an energy that was both introspective and danceable, and Colors of Life expanded the sonic horizon with luminous optimism, Silk & Fur introduces a mood that is at once sensual and contemplative – blending warm melodies with subtle dub-infused rhythms and a deep, rolling bassline that anchors the track’s hypnotic flow. It’s a piece that flows with elegance and complexity, equally at home in moments of quiet listening or on a dimly lit dancefloor.

As the release of Aelle draws closer, Silk & Fur serves as another testament to OXIA’s mastery in fusing emotional resonance with club-ready sophistication. With over two decades at the forefront of electronic music – from iconic releases on Bedrock and Knee Deep In Sound to remixes for Moby, Agoria, and John Digweed – OXIA continues to push his artistry into new territory, reaﬃrming his enduring influence on the global scene.

Helmed by Hamza, New Delhi’s Wind Horse Records returns with “Laya,” a collaboration between Zone+ & Usif from Bahrain (the biggest House Music export from the Middle East). Following separate releases on Day I Dream, Underyourskin Records, and Sol Selectas, Zone+ & Usif collaborated on releases for Akumandra/Underyourskin and Talavera Records before collaborating on “Laya”

“Laya” is another in the impressive Wind Horse roster seamlessly melding house music rhythms, traditional instrumentation from Indian and other world music in superlative production standards. The title track is a meandering jaunt through lush soundscapes, deep grooves, percussive and hypnotic house. Haunting flute, keys, and pads weave contemplative strains throughout. “Aria” is a slappy late-night affair with driving bass sounding sonar depths and building slowly with unexpected vocals and polyrhythmic treatments, mounting new surprise midway through the nearly 10-minute opus. Give “Laya” a spin, and be prepared for transport to a globe-spanning ride suited to dancefloors everywhere.
