After a collaboration with fellow Naarm based producer, Desinformant, as well as a remix, Feed The Void is extremely excited to welcome Hedchef to the label for a full length release. ‘Non-Stop Visions Of God’ merges together sub heavy genres with mind bending samples and a whole lot of tension. Tales of squid, rattlesnakes and ayahuasca paint the psychedelic landscape of the trip. This one’s hard hitting and full of impeccable sound design and bold structures that move away from dance music’s traditional linear format.

Remixes come from UK Bass producer K-65, who’s crafted a high energy version of ‘Pepper’s Ghost’, as well as FTV label head Birds, with a dark and twisted take on ‘Diamondback Rattlesnake’ (featuring her signature live vocals) and New York based producer Doctor Jeep with a peak time percussive rework of ‘Earl Grey Ayahuasca.’

PREMIERE: Hedchef - Pepper's Ghost [Feed The Void]

This is the third track from my new album ✨Memory Trails✨

This one is a Psy-Dubby track, playful and chubby like a Hippo running around, bouncing, missing a step, almost falling over but quickly back on track again.

I always loved Dub and Psy-Dub, and been combining dubby elements in my music since the beginning of this project. There’s something hypnotic, positive and satisfying in this genre, like a distilled minimalism which has all the basic ingredients for positive vibes.
In its purest, simplified form, or in its more complex full spectrum psychedelic iterations, it always brings an inner peaceful feeling which, for me, missing a lot these days.

Traditional dub music, born in 1970s Jamaica, has had a profound influence on modern electronic music through its use of heavy basslines, echo, reverb, and minimalist sound design. Treating the studio as an instrument, laying the groundwork for remix culture, live FX performance, and producer-driven artistry. These techniques shaped genres like dubstep, techno, house, drum & bass, and ambient music especially in their use of space, sub-bass, and experimental sound manipulation. Dub’s legacy lives on in the textures, structures, and performance styles of today’s electronic soundscape.

Drawing from years of sonic exploration and shaped by travels across the globe, 'Memory Trails' marks a pivotal moment in MantisMash’s musical evolution. Blending lush psydub atmospheres with nods to classic dub, breakbeat, and drum & bass, 'Memory Trails' offers a vivid and expansive experience firmly tuned to the modern dance floor. Surging basslines, shimmering textures, and finely-tuned rhythms flow seamlessly across the album's nine tracks, balancing technical precision with MantisMash's signature sense of play. From the organic warmth of "Echofluid" and saturated echoes of "Behind the Thunder," to the deep DnB grooves of "BeatJunx" and "Reflekt," the album pushes the boundaries of psychedelic bass music while remaining deeply connected to its roots.

Richly detailed and alive with a sense of movement, 'Memory Trails' signals the next chapter in a journey shaped by travel, performance, and the ever-shifting landscapes of the musical world.
