I've included in DWTD 3 some iconic names from Rock history along with some of my favorite artists today (I said some, not all). These sacred monsters of Rock, New Wave, Goth music that changed my life when I was a teenager, that I still listen to today. And, since I'm only a dj and not a producer, I did the job as I learned, as I was taught in the 80's and 90's when I started mixing. Create a third track, something special w/ 2 records spinning at the same time, do a remix while mixing. It was a challenge we enjoyed a lot at that time. All that to say that dj'ing is not just chaining tracks, records, new releases one after the other, it's revealing yourself, giving a glimpse of who you are and where RU from by including and mixing pieces of your background w/ the music of today and to make something interesting to listen to... Try to give the best of oneself to highlight the work of the one who made the sound, and who also gave his best too, w/ short or long transi, cuts, remixes, harmonic mixes...

Juanjo Obon. Half Dutch, half Spanish. All enigma. His story kicks off in 1987, behind the decks at Sitges’ PACHÁ, where the air pulses with electricity, where every beat is a shot of adrenaline to the soul. But that was just the beginning. In 2006, he births LOVETHEMACHINE—a Frankenstein of Electro, Minimal, Techno, and Nu Wave. It’s not just music. It’s a living, breathing entity. A beast that refuses to be caged by genre.

His stage presence? A goddamn ritual. Each performance a rare, almost mythical event. He’s haunted stages from Italy to Barcelona, leaving behind a trail of awestruck disciples. His music? It’s not something you just hear. It’s something you survive. Herr.Ektor is a multidisciplinary artist (music, writing, photography...) and LGBTQIA+ activist who lives and works in Berlin. Shaped by poetry and D.I.Y culture, his interest in music, and more specifically electronic and alternative scenes, led him to become a DJ and co-organise the infamous queer parties Electrofuckdiscosuicideparty (Collectif Blogvipère 2008-2015). His sets are musical journeys through several musical genres, influenced by the madness and dark wave universe of the 80s, 90s techno, the electroclash scene, and Dark Disco.

Ale, Kata e Zeemo formano il progetto nel 2020 e uniscono passioni e influenze scure, corporee, post-punk. 

Ci scrivono consegnando una fotografia immersiva e a tratti nostalgica, è un invito alla New Wave, alla EBM: stivali di pelle ben lucida.
Una storia di produzioni altrettanto ricca li vede comparire nella Ombra International di Curses, su Raibano Records, su Nothing Is Real Records, fissando una presenza decisamente Dark Wave e caratteristica. 

L'immaginario di un post-punk contemporaneo si traduce in una miscela nei tempi della musica da club. Abbiamo una suite squisitamente composta per il piacere della nostalgia (o della riscoperta!), che invita a cedere il proprio corpo verso una fusione con paesaggi scuri, post-industriali. Obbligatorio un esame di stile.
Loro stessi definiscono l'ambiente: “batterie solide, synth spaziali, linee di basso groovy e chitarre distorte e

Bio :
Born at the end of the 60s and rocked by psychedelic music throughout his childhood, he went to punk then to new wave, post-punk, cold-wave, industrial & new beat until his departure for London where he discovered Acid-House & Techno music and the first raves at the end of the 80s.

DJing in the early '90s when he arrived in Toulouse (FR). Resident in various clubs and pubs in the pink city, he played here and there in France and in Europe.

Pissed off not finding the records they liked, he and his partner; Daphné, created Jellyfish Records, an international vinyl record distribution company, and record shop. During all these years, they met and worked with the cream of American and European underground electronic music producers. They stopped everything when illegal downloading arrived and killed the vinyl record market in the early 2000s.

He returned to his first love of psychedelic rock while listening to electronic music, until some time ago - Deciding to go back behind the decks, catching up with new music with yesterday's influences, integrating guitar riffs and with a rock, trance and trippy sound... After all these years emersed in music his influences are therefore as rich as they are varied.

There is no music without melodies, no melodies without harmonies and they are the ones that give goosebumps when played at the right time.

He has shared stages with names like Daft Punk, Laurent Garnier, Dave Clarke, Ricardo Lyte (KLF), Derrick May, Romanthony, David Holmes, Francesco Farfa, Paul Cooper, David Carretta,  Colin Dale, Craig Walsh, Trevor Rockcliffe, Lassigue Benthaus,  Zen Paradox, Lumu Kanda...
