My new 23 track album is here and I am really excited about the release. Some of these tracks go back all the way to 2013, such as "Insomnia" featured on YouTube and huge promotion from the single release!
I carefully crafted this EP for reasons unsaid, but as you listen to each track in order, 1 to 23, you will feel inspired with huge dynamic of types of music that flows into one large project with the theme of Darkness contrasting with Light, without being messy or judged.
Each year, from when I started producing music to be more than just a musician, I wanted to be on top! I lost that motivation with so many distractions and I felt lost and I didn't know where to go next. Good news though, I am here again and I am found. I am ready to jump right back on top and I will make it happen no matter what. Much love to all of my fans that have supported me, and extra love to those that stayed with me on my journey of up and down. This is the story of “LIFE”.

While on one hand, it is the culmination of one man’s life’s work; on the other hand, it embodies the advocacy of preserving the lives of ALL humankind.

The 18 songs contained on these two discs are a celebration of Sir Ivan’s 20 years of success as an international recording artist. Collectively, it is an electronic dance music (EDM) experience that pays homage to the spirit of the 60s and what that era stood for - Peace, Love and Acceptance. In Sir Ivan’s words, “they’re the greatest collection of peace songs ever released as dance music.”

In Hebrew, each letter has a numerical value. The number 10 is the letter Yud. The number 8 is the letter Het. Het-Yud spells the word Chai (חי (which is a word and symbol that means “life”. Together, they equal 18. In fact, a common Jewish toast is “l’chaim!”, which means “to life!” and is often said at celebrations in anticipation of all the good things to come. This is why you will find the Chai symbol represented in the “8” of the album cover.

As the son of a Holocaust survivor, Sir Ivan knows all too well how the long-term effects of hatred, bullying and violence can lead to severe trauma. This is why he became “Peaceman” and dedicated his entire career to benefitting those suffering from PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder).

David Duriez is known for making House and proper underground electronic music since the beginning of the 90's - 30 years in the music industry, founder and keeper of the [briquerouge] label, home of the best french electronic renegades since 1999, David Duriez is lurking in the shadow of the french Electronic scene, keeping it real and true. Artist in various styles of music, dj and innovator, he's always in search of new ways to distribute and value Electronic Music and always a step ahead. Definitely not just one for the hype.

Since 1994, David released over a hundred records under his name, tens under various pseudonyms, outputs mainly vinyl on the most renowned labels like 2020Vision, Ovum, Systematic, Pokerflat, F Communication, Mobilee, Under the Counter, Stickman, Classic Music Company, Crosstown Rebels, The End, etc .. (the list is long, see Discogs.com to be convinced) and as many remixes for some of the greatest (think Moby, DJ Hell, Telex, Random Factor, Johnny Fiasco, Paul Johnson, Kenny Hawkes or Mr.C).

Founder of the label Brique Rouge in 1999 and a whole galaxy of other labels, he participated in the creation of internationally recognized labels such as Robsoul, Freak n'Chic or Rz Muzik. David has carved out his own niche with his pigeonhole defying Brique Rouge label, and his helping to redefine underground electronic music. I'm a late 60s child who's been heavily influenced by jazz, classic rock, electronic, punk and post-punk, disco, new wave, dub, hip hop, house, techno, acid house and rave, drum & bass and jungle, downtempo, ambient and modern classical, indie, etc....to include some glorious fusions of these different forms.

I hope to reflect more of that wonderful diversity in "Explorations" moving forward, and yet stick to the core that has influenced this series to date.
