We don't stop and welcome DJ, producer, remixer, and label owner Sharam Jey.
He has been shaking up the world of dance music since the early ’90s with his infectious and accessible, dance-floor-ready grooves. Over the years, the Cologne-based artist has racked up numerous accolades and achievements, including releasing three acclaimed albums (4 Da Loverz in 2005, In My Blood in 2009, and Invisible in 2018), having over 100 releases on some of dance music’s most established labels (Toolroom, Cajual, Sola Records, Kittball, King Kong Records), and amassing a remarkable remix resume with high-profile artists such as Zayn, Moby, Gossip, Faith No More, Faithless, Diplo, Don Diablo, Mason, and Roisin Murphy, among others.

But that’s not all. Another huge passion of Jey’s is owning and running the successful record label, Bunny Tiger. His philosophy for the imprint has always been to supply 100% DJ tools from DJs to DJs. Since its 2012 inception, it has come a long way and become one of Beatport’s top-performing labels (Label of the Year Top 10 in 2013, 5 overall No.1s, 20+ top 10 tracks in the NuDisco chart). I recorded these, using only the Roland T8 drum machine, outside as it got dark.
The first one I did at the beach in Crete (130 bpm) and the second one, a week later, in a park in Vienna (120bpm).
These spontaneous sessions are so much fun, specially at such beautiful places.

Sunset cook-up 2 Vienna PART2 In The Park

I'm a late 60s child who's been heavily influenced by jazz, classic rock, electronic, punk and post-punk, disco, new wave, dub, hip hop, house, techno, acid house and rave, drum & bass and jungle, downtempo, ambient and modern classical, indie, etc....to include some glorious fusions of these different forms.

I hope to reflect more of that wonderful diversity in "Explorations" moving forward, and yet stick to the core that has influenced this series to date.
