At a young age, introduced to music by a guitar found in the attic, he became passionate about the characteristic sound of distortions and dissonances.
A few years later, fascinated by the intrinsic message of freetekno, he began to be passionate about electronic music in all its forms. Discovering acid music, he began to experiment, with the solutions of the time, his own sounds with both analog and digital machines, influenced by his background as a young guitarist. 
Soon after he began to practice the art of DJing, driven by the new emotions of that new discovery. 
After more than 10 years of sound experimentation in the underground scene of northern Italy, he founded with his two greatest friends a new independent label : FORMVLA RECORDS

Foundation and Early Years (1993–2003)

In 1993, DJ Zodiak (Marc Pulles) founded Zodiak Commune (partyorganisation), initially as a spontaneous rave after a birthday party. The collective quickly became a legendary force in the Dutch electronic underground. Zodiak was the driving force behind Zodiak Commune parties, a central figure in shaping the second wave of underground Acid and Electro in the Netherlands.

Foundation Vinyl Label (1998–2003)

Zodiak Commune Records (the label) was founded in 1998 by DJ Zodiak as the label arm of the Zodiak Commune collective. From the start, the label was vinyl-first, representing the raw and innovative spirit of Acid music.

The label released tracks covering the breadth of underground acid styles, including Acid Techno, Electro Acid, and Acid IDM, and quickly became recognized as an influential player in the Dutch electronic underground, helping to shape and sculpt the scene.

Between 1998 and 2003, the label also organized Zodiak Commune Records label parties at major cultural venues, including Effenaar (Eindhoven), Doornroosje (Nijmegen), 013 (Tilburg), and other locations across the Netherlands and Belgium.

Slower Phase (2003–2017)

After Zodiak stepped back as a DJ and transferred the Zodiak Commune party organization to a non-profit foundation in 2003, the label entered a slower period. Releases were less frequent, but Zodiak Commune Records remained active and respected in the underground scene.

Revival and Expansion (2017–Present)
------------------------------------
In 2017, Zodiak fully reactivated the label, returning with renewed energy and focus. Since then, Zodiak Commune Records has expanded its activities and built a strong international presence, while remaining true to its vinyl-first Acid identity.

The label now operates multiple sub-labels, including:
* Deep Acid Records – Electro House–oriented
* Outlaw303 – Raw Acid and Electro Acid
* Same Size Soul – Pure Electro
This structure allows the label to explore different underground sounds while staying deeply rooted in the Acid movement.

Zodiak Commune Records places a strong emphasis on supporting new talent alongside established artists, providing a platform for fresh voices in the scene. The team behind the label includes:
* Zodiak (Marc Pulles) – founder & head
* Chris Nexus Six– artwork and visual identity
* Paul Renard – Acid- House & Techno focus – Deep Acid & Zodiak Commune Records
* DJ Feryne – Electro focus – Same Size Soul & Zodiak Commune Records

Together, the team continues to push the underground Acid and Electro movement forward, with the label standing as one of the most consistent and respected names in the European Acid scene.

Looking ahead, Zodiak Commune Records plans to resume label parties, continuing the tradition of live events that showcase their artists and connect directly with the underground community.

Important Distinction
Since 2003, Zodiak Commune (the party organization) and Zodiak Commune Records (the label) have been completely separate entities, each with its own team and activities. Zodiak remains fully involved with the label but is no longer connected to the party organization.

...born 1980 in Hamburg, Germany. in 1996 i discovered the world of hard electronic music...
 and immediately fell in love with it... i never heard music with that extreme energy and passion behind it before...
 in 1997 i decided to create music myself... my style back then was mostly experimental hardcore, breakcore and speedcore...
 in 2000 i had my first release then, my 12" on Blut recordings.
 later that year, Betty Bombshell and me started a show on the terrestrial radio station "FSK" in Hamburg.
 the idea of the show was to broadcast music from the experimental and hard music scenes to an audience that might have not much contact with that kind of sound before. Betty left the show in 2001. 

 there was still a need for that kind of thing in Hamburg; Sampler19 and me teamed up, and we created the "Hamburg Hardcore Radio" show.
 apart from playing old and new records and tracks from the hard scenes on air, we also did many all-night shows, featuring a lot of guest DJs. later, The Man Unknown and DJ Escada joined us, and we started a crew that did the radio shows together.

 in 2002 a 12" by me was released on Praxis, i was very happy about this release, but i do not want to hype myself here, so i won't say too much.
 later that year my 12" on Black Monolith came out, which was again a bit different than my earlier releases, because it was an Hardacid/Acidcore EP.
 2002 was also the year when me and Sampler19 started the "All-Out Demolition!" parties in Hamburg. later, DJ Escada and The Man Unknown joined our crew there, too.
 the idea of All-Out Demolition! was to create a party series for the extreme, interesting and experimental types of Hardcore and Breakcore - parties for that type of sound only happened very rarely in Hamburg back then.
 in 2003, an album by me was released on Widerstand records. but again, i do not want to hype myself too much. the sound was in the various "styles" i produced in so far... breakcore, noize, ambient...

today the styles of the music i produce include breakcore, acidcore, doomcore and dark ambient.
