Chris Hope & Andre Walter have been purveyors of heads-down Techno for quite some time now, and on this release for Phobiq they prove that they are going from strength to strength.

Setting the tone with "My Own Milf", the boys combine clever atmospherics with a bouncy groove, keeping the vibe perfectly balanced, while "Solid Light" takes things to dissonant territory with eerie synths and a dislocated rhythm section.

Closing the EP is "White Trash" with it's sneaky synths and rolling groove full of innovative sounds from a distant future.

Smokybeats is a Techno sound-producer at KlangReaktion Rec. since 2011. In 2012 he starts producing and management  at Minimalgestöber Rec. too. Since 2011 Steffen Weiss produced under his pseudonym "Smokybeats" experimental beats from electro to techno until he found his way to electronic dance music that is fascinating him today. Steffen Weiss is now especially infected by dark-techno and minimal. He plays driving minimal / techno tracks. Offbeat basslines with fat kick drums and a driving, progressive and repetive rhythms and melodies are trademark of his style.
