The poisonous formaldehyde cloud began to dissipate. Cat cast a confused glance at the body, which was no longer the same, but still obeyed him...

"Damn it, we succeeded! Superpower has been studied!" SpaceCat exclaimed enthusiastically. The mission revolved around a simple truth: to see one part of yourself, you need to see the other, which means that only harmony and balance open up new trajectories in the knowledge of space.

check the our eleventh release from strange.

"I started making music around 1993 (Techno and Drum & Bass), using a Commodore Amiga with Octamed software, a mixer and a reverb unit. 
Eventually I upgraded to a Mac running Logic, and slowly built up a small hardware studio. 
In 2000 a good friend of mine switched me on to Dub Techno, and it deeply affected where I was going with my own recordings. 
I had always enjoyed quite minimal music, and I was fascinated by the authentic recreation of Dub sounds using modern electronic production techniques. 
In the last few years I've started using more field recordings and other found sounds, together with treated speech elements generated by myself. I sometimes like to explore Sci-Fi and paranormal themes in my tracks, usually creating quite a warm overall atmosphere. 

To a first-time listener, Dub Techno might seem like quite a limited, niche genre, but to me it offers the opportunity to explore a range of sounds: Techno, ambient, experimental, and of course, Dub. 

Hopefully this EP for Hello Strange gives an idea of where I'm at now."

The fifth album by german producer "Smooth" introduces 8 musical themes of meanwhile forgotten future visions. Musically located in the wide fields of Dubtechno, this album also offers fragments of Downbeat and Lounge, besides influences of Detroit Techno. Many details of the tracks have been recorded live and analog to capture the tracks as unique snapshots. Follow the music on a little timetrip back into the past, when the current present was a futuristic vision where everything seemed possible.

Passion, obsession and addiction. For Dubtechno, Progressive, House and all kind of deep music. Thats what "Smooth" is about.

Beside my other music projects "New Age Hippies" (Psytrance), "Smooth Genestar" (Lounge/Downbeat) and "Tenonaki" (Techno/Tech House), i established "Smooth" back in 2006 as project to research in Dubtechno, Deep House, Garage House, UK House and Progressive, as these styles have been important influences over the bygone years.

My intention is to fuse elements and phrases of these different styles, to create this special kind of flow and to ignore musical borders. Therefore, i fuse beautiful and lively pads with dubby chords and elements of Trance, Progressive Trance and House. 

Beside producing and mastering, i operate the free audio netlabel "CYAN" in cooperation with Jaja. If you like as many different music genres as i do, expect to find further unique releases there for free.
