5 years after presenting his last massive double-album "Utopolis", "Smooth Genestar" returns with another 9 deep tracks to celebrate his obsession for Lounge, Downbeat and Chillout. The goal of this collection of tracks is to capture the feeling of undecisiveness: Staying home or taking the last train downtown for nightlife? Whatever the decision will be, all tracks will fit both situations with their jazzy, dark or uplifting moods. Crunchy Downbeat with LoFi elements besides jazzed Lounge and melancholic night vibes. You just need to go onboard the Night train.

Smooth Genestar is a project serious addicted to Downbeat, Downtempo, Lounge, Chillout and Easy Listening with passion. The roots and influences are reaching back to the mid 90s, with the legendary CD-series like "Space Night", Labels like "Elektrolux" and inspiring artists like "Saafi Brothers", "Aural Float", "Fresh Moods", "Nightmares on Wax","Pascal Feos" and "Amphotic", just to name a few...

The project "Smooth Genestar" was founded in 2006 by Marco Köller (Cologne, Germany) to give the Downbeat- and Chillout- flavoured tracks an own identity beside the output of his 2 other projects "New Age Hippies" (Psytrance) and "Smooth" (Progressive & DubTechno).

Since 2009, he operates the free Netlabel "CYAN Music" in cooperation with Jaja, and has released there many free tracks under creative-commons licences...
