My Team

Born in Hobbs, New Mexico 1977 "Smooth Harmony" was inspired with music at an early age through the church. "Harmony" learned by ear the drums then the piano and later had taken band in elementary.

R&B music such as, (H-Town, R-Kelly, Intro, Jodeci, Boyz II Men, etc.) played a big part in the sound and influence of "Harmony". Older music such as, (Marvin Gaye, Rick James, and Cameo) were also influences.

In 1997 a Kevin Wright (rapper Eazy-E's cousin) introduced "Harmony" to Jeremiah Laurelez (Tucson rapper 3 Stylz) who titled him the name "Smooth Harmony". This was the push "Harmony" needed. He started recording with "3 Stylz" in Tucson, Arizona through Wavelab Studio's with engineer Nick.

Later on, after dealing with several different labels, who never really tried to place "Harmony" in good standings with the local buzz "Harmony" tried for "American Idol" during the Glendale auditions in 2007. "Harmony's" application was rejected due to being over the age of 28 and having a felony background.

He then just applied to CRAS (The Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences) in Tempe, Arizona to learn how to record and engineer himself. After about 3 months into the program and because of financial issues and transportation he transferred to "Rio Salado Community College" to study Business & Marketing. Later on he received certification for Microsoft Office 2007, Business Applications, Basic Computers, Keyboarding, and more.

Currently living in Chandler, Arizona "Harmony" is still pursuing to put his music ideas out there anyway possible. Lacking the resources he is a struggling artist just trying to be heard and still has the dream of becoming successful in the tough music industry.
