 Ian "Dan Dada" Hamblett was born on the 6th October 1958.He grew up in the small village of Chauncey in St.Vincent and the Grenadines."Dan Dada" attended the Questelles Government School which is located in Questelles a fifteen minutes walk away from Chauncey.It is while attending The Questelles Government School,at a very young age that he started singing."Dan dada"took part in many school competitions mainly singing'calypso' ,One such song include "African man".After completing his schooling in the 1980's he joined The then upstage calypso tent which was later renamed to the Graduates Calypso tent.Being a member of The Graduates Calypso Tent he would enter the national Calypso competition annually for ten years ,One of "Dan dada"most famous song is "Inflation".After retiring from participating in The national Calypso competitions he later went on to record songs like "Good Lovin","Lick down poverty","One little belly full" ,"Ganja Fire and Wrong Trade. "Dan Dada" is an artiste that will have you dancing while meditating with his lyrics of consciousness and the cry of the Earth and all with in. Glory,honor and praises be to the Creator.
