There’s so many ways to make a ground patty
You can put ‘bout anything between two toasted buns
We’d debate for days to crown the new “King Fatty”
But just like the Highlander there can be only one

Everyone’s got their certain personal faves
A particular place - distorted nostalgic haze
So, to get to the truth and to honestly rank
There is only one rule, and it’s all about taste

Smash burger, tavern style
Double patty, slider pile
Juicy Lucy, Mushroom Swiss
But the one that tops the list is

Oklahoma Onion
With pickles, cheese, and mustard
Better get a dozen
They’re addictive as a mother…

You want fries with that?

It’d be a shame to never have one before
They’re so easy to make
So take a trip to the store
You need a couple of onions
And some fatty ground beef
Plain buns to steam and American cheese

Mandolin those onions
(whole rings, paper thin)
Gently form the beef in balls
(loosely packed, kinda small)
Put em in a hot pan
Cover in onions, tons of them
Smash ‘em down and let ‘em crisp
You’re halfway done it’s time to flip
Now add the cheese and bun to it

Talking too much
without thinking enough
It’s rough, I make it awkward,
can’t keep my mouth shut.

It’s such a troublesome trait which
I can’t seem to shake since
The first couple, words escaped
my fat baby face. In

social situations
I bring the weird words
Blurt absurd verbal blurbs, 
Wish they weren’t heard

Out of turn, I interrupt,
Didn’t mean to, can’t shut up
Reading cues, for me, is tough
Why’d I say that stupid stuff?

The conversations I corrupt _ get uncomfortable.
I wonder though,
Do explanations make it
understandable?
I’d like to know

explaining a joke
is like describing a dream
No matter how funny to me
or vivid it seems

I mean,
nobody ever really wanna hear that
