For our 151st FrenzyPodcast we've invited the German artist, Jannik Aßfalg. Born and raised in Göppingen, under the smoke of Stuttgart, Jannik had the urge to create since he was young. Fueled by a passion for improvisation and being influenced by the pioneering sounds of breakbeat and ambient, Jannik has honed a unique and minimalistic style, which has led him to release on Sleeparchive and our very own Frenzy Recordings with 'Desire' [FRNZYVA002]. 

Next to that, Jannik is one of the co-founders of the collective 'Diffraction' who provide nightlife to their hometown and surroundings. With a passion for innovation and a desire to live off of his creative pursuits, Jannik is excited to share his music with the world.

For the last mix of the year, we invited our resident Vromo. Does he need an introduction?

‘To conclude this year, I switched it up a bit for this podcast and didn’t do a DJ set. This time I made a studio mix which compiles tracks, loops & sound bits into a mix. I always wanted to try this and see what I would come up with and ended up having a lot of fun with it. There are so many possibilities and I ended up tweaking this for way too long. Hope you enjoy this sound showcase of new & old tracks, random percussion loops and synth additions.’

Jancen (Jurriaan Jansen) is a techno artist and producer from the city Nijmegen in the Netherlands. Growing up in a musical family where both his parents teach and play the piano. Music and technology have been at the center of his interest was introduced to the techno scene at the age of 14. It was during a test session of the legendary Awakenings parties, where Adam Beyer was testing the sound system in the Gashouder, that Jancen's love for techno was sparked. It was only 15 years later during the pandemic, Jancen turned to techno music production, and for the last three years, he has been hard at creating his own unique sound. The sound in which combines modern low-end with deep kicks and rhythms with Detroit-style synths, quickly caught the attention of industry professionals.

Nathan Jones (aka SNAKEBITE_616) is a Dublin-based DJ and producer operating where hypnotic pressure meets jackin’, driving techno.
