With a nod to classic influences such as Blondie and the Strokes, Stranger Girl combine their firm indie rock roots with a 21st century twist of polished soundscapes and explosive pop melodies. Lead singer Melissa's emotively raw lyrical style and dynamic shifts in storytelling has become something that frequently resonates with listeners of the band. 

Still in the early days of their musical releases, the group have already been featured on Spotify's 'Hot New Bands' playlist as well as being track of the day on BBC Introducing South. 

In 2021 Stranger Girl released their debut EP ‘Black Hole Radio’ and plan to tour the UK in 2022.

Hailing from the Scottish Highlands Ally Ridgers has been a regular name in the scene over 20 years both as a DJ and promoter, he is the brainchild behind events such as the OutDores which he co runs and has brought the likes of Denis Sulta, Paul Woolford to name a few to the the Highlands, He also runs JOY Old Skool events and is 1/3 of Dannsa. 
As a DJ he has played all over the country at various festivals such as RockNess back in the day, has headlined the Mother Ruin stage twice at Belladrum and more recently has played the likes of Otherlands Festival and Cultivate Aberdeen with Dannsa.
Over the years he has supported the likes of 2 Many DJs, Skream, Mella Dee, Mall Grab, Mark Knight, Groove Armada, Leftfield, Ultra Sonic and Mark Archer (Altern8)
