Snapdragon's musical journey commenced in the heart of the underground scene in Phoenix, Arizona, back in 2007. It all began amidst clandestine warehouse gatherings and countless desert raves, where she first started to make her mark. Notably, in her earlier years, she even used her best friend's ID to gain entry into premiere Scottsdale nightclubs, a testament to her unwavering dedication to the music. 🎵

Her artistic evolution continued as she journeyed north, with significant stops in Las Vegas, her hometown, along the way. However, it was in Seattle that she decided to put down roots and cultivate her musical talents further. Over time, Snapdragon has not only flourished but also pushed the boundaries of her craft, establishing herself as a dynamic and genre-defying music producer. 🌱🎶

"Hello there, from the Greater Seattle Area! I’m Snapdragon, and I'm thrilled that Required Noise invited me for a special YouTube mix, and I've cooked up something truly unique for you. 

Shifting gears for this creative opportunity, I envisioned an evolving storytelling mix and leveraged Midjourney to create these different stages before diving into the beats, weaving elements of the Pacific Northwest into each stage design. OceanLab released their enchanting single ‘Sirens Of The Sea’ in 2005. In 2023, Above & Beyond were the only British DJs to sell out two consecutive nights at Printworks as part of the iconic London venue’s closing season. They recently made a return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre to helm two shows alongside label stars from Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep and made an appearance at Insomniac's Escape Halloween festival in California.

2020 has been an eye opening year, revealing many things about our friends, family, and ourselves. One such thing I've noticed is how we all live in our own little bubbles.  All our connections, people we associate with, brands and companies we like and follow on social media, everything so rapidly consumed and absorbed day in and day out, it is only now in confinement where I've become more aware of this....

On a semi-related side note,  I'm a huge basketball fan. Any of my close friends would know this, so I've been ecstatic that the NBA has returned. Each player is living inside a literal bubble give the Pandemic. This basketball bubble has had my full attention these last 2 weeks... so I found it quite funny and a fantastic coincidence that a fellow DJ and Tony @aka_tony came to me with a LOST mix idea with the theme of "BUBBLES," Soap bubbles to be exact.  Thomas Williams alias @aka_tony started out as a DJ in Switzerland in the last century. I discovered him since he's played a few of my tracks in his mixes (thanks bud).  Since 2018 he spreads love and nice tunes as a resident at Radio GDS.FM in Zurich, where he has his own broadcasting slot. With Aka-Tapes Thomas runs his own podcast blog on Soundcloud. In the last couple of months he has crafted various podcasts for different channels around the globe. 

I was curious, so I asked him, how did this theme originate? His response was:

"After an eventful, beautiful and challenging decade in which people seemed to have found peace, determination and clarity, the situation changed abruptly. Almost from one day to the next, uncertainty, great challenges and suspicion returned. Everything and anything was questioned and the most adventurous theories made the rounds. People soon no longer knew who was friend or foe. Information was interpreted in a way that always protected their own interests. Objectivity and attentiveness were lost. To deal with this situation, creative people discovered the concept of the soap bubble. Soap bubbles with which one could wrap all the abstruse theories and theorists and gently send them on a journey of knowledge. So they discovered that the earth was not a flat disk after all and said also goodbye to many other absurd theories. So if you are desperate about all the uncertainties that will challenge you in the present and the near future, this mix will help you to wrap gruesome ideas and concepts into a soap bubble and send them on the much needed journey of knowledge."
