As some of you might have guessed by now, music is incredibly important to me. I can't imagine not having the ability to express my creativity and discover more about myself through music; I've always had the option of studying, creating, and performing on musical instruments. I don't know where I would be if my family hadn't been economically able to provide me with all those opportunities. 

Therefore, I think it's important for me to give back. I want to do what I can to help make such opportunities available for people that otherwise couldn't afford them. In an ideal world, monetary barriers wouldn't hinder anyone's ability to experience self-discovery, creativity, and personal growth through music. Although this may only be a small contribution, hopefully I can help lift some of those barriers by donating any money generated by my new single "Everchanging", which comes out on Monday, to VH1 Save The Music Foundation. Dutchman Snareskin is back - this time with a remix of fellow countrymen Ducked Ape’s “Lost In Escape”, featuring Lauren Tyler Scott as featured on their Follow EP. With Lauren’s vocals also featuring prominently in Snareskin's remix, one is reminded of the original while also transported into Snareskin’s sonic universe and take on the tune.

Yet the drop blows everyone out of the water; a massive buildup leads to omnipresent synths punctuated by tom-tom fills, glides, arpeggios and bass drops in half-steps and minor keys. After the melodic assault comes another period of calm - a fitting transition given the backstory to “Lost In Escape”, but while one is indeed taken along for the ride it is never quite clear what will happen next. 

Emotional and yet marinated in creativity, this remix is definitely one you don’t want to miss.
