Had such a blast playing an extended DJ set in San Francisco last weekend, great to catch up with old friends and meet a few new faces . I managed to record half of the set. This section was recorded roughly 4-5.45 am. I didn’t get any footage during my set however managed to get this shot walking back from the club at around 6.30am. I’ve always enjoyed the sense of calm the early hours bring to a big city.

Mid-September welcomes label debuts for UK talent Jacky and South Aftrican producer Toochi as they combine once again to deliver ‘Champagne’ on Hector Couto’s Roush. Following a breakthrough year in 2016, with releases and remixes on Elrow, Wow! Recordings, Resonance Records and also Roush, Jack Maughan aka Jacky has gone on to become a definitive favourite of many on the European scene, racking up appearances at the likes of fabric (London), Sankeys (Ibiza), Elrow (Barceolna) and Ministry Of Sound (London) whilst curating his ‘Jacky & Friends’ nights across the UK. Having recently collaborated to deliver ‘Trash Talk’ as party of his 2018 ‘Jacky & Friends’ compilation, here South African producer Toochi alongside the London based producer once again as the duo reveal two fresh productions this September. Opening proceedings, title track ‘Champagne’ quickly introduces an up front and bubbling production with punchy kicks, bumping bass hits and a combination of reverberated vocal samples contrasted against refined vocal melodies, whilst ‘Putting You Out’ sees vocal elements shifted to become the central focus as Toochi lay down a medley of rich, soulful hooks guided by skipping hats and rolling drum loops.

The EP then leads into Don’t Waste My Time, a percussive led, pounding techno number that utilises ghetto house vocals and a low-slung bassline.

Paul Woolford has been a key figure in the house music scene for more than two decades. He’s leant his musical talent to over 200 records for the likes of Depeche Mode, Chemical Brothers, Underworld and Krystal Klear amongst others. Woolfordhas had the privilege of recording not one, but 5 coveted Essential Mixes for Radio 1 and under his Special Request alias, he recently recorded the much hyped FabricLive91. He’s also held down long-standing residencies at renowned Leed’s club night Back to Basics and Space on Sundays in Ibiza. Woolford’s relentless energy and tireless diversity continues to see his career develop and evolve.

Open your eyes, open your ears… Catz ‘N Dogz return with their final transmission of 2018 and it’s all about the core fundamentals that brought every single one of us here today. It’s the message of Greg and Voitek’s Music Manifesto last year. It’s the message they’ve lived and worked by since before their days as 3 Channels: stay curious, have faith in others, appreciate life.  Take what you do seriously, but don’t take life seriously… How we live it is ‘The Choice’ we all have to make. 
A bold statement against insular club culture, closed minds and lack of innovation, ‘The Choice’ continues Catz ‘N Dogz positive broadcasts with the help of Miss Bunty and three great friends on remix duties. Bunty instantly flips us back 25 years to a warehouse in New Jersey with a soulful, provocative sermon about the best things in life, people and places. She wraps herself tightly around a thumping, grainy jacking acid beat creating instant uplift, focus and a lesson we should all aspire to. 
Her powerful delivery works just as effectively over all remixes. Belgian Beton returns to Pets with a darker, rippling rhythm that drops its anchor in the timeless techno abyss while Bawrut continues the rich vein of form he’s developed on Ransom Note with a caustic frenzy of breaks, acid and raw, gut-wrenching sirens. Finally we have Soul Notes and Shall Not Fade affiliate Adryiano close the case. Laying down a bed of peppy organs, he creates a fittingly classic garage vibe for Bunty to sign out to. Biography:
Rishi aka Midnight Traffic started his tryst with music like any other person – as a listener. As his fondness for the music grew, so did his inclination towards electronic music and quite effortlessly he started trifling with the desire to be a DJ. Starting with a very limited  resource back in 2004, electronic music influenced his outlook towards music, thanks to his unending curiosity about genres, techniques and creating a pulsating vibe on the dance floor. Taking his inquisitiveness to the next level, Rishi embarked on a groovy journey as a DJ without any inhibitions as to where it will lead. However, his growth and evolution had an answer. 
He is described as an artist who has constantly experimented with arrays of sounds. He has been silently cooking some mind benders in the studio, always looks for newer sounds and pushes the limit. He often unlocks the sounds he had been weaving together in the studio. Rishi has played alongside some of the biggest names in the country and also of international eminence.

Relatively unknown he has an upcoming talent and I highly recommend you make the judgement yourself by tuning in. Immaculate track selection and mixing he will take the listener on a deep smooth yet bouncy journey. Having heard one of his sets earlier this year we thought it would be an extremely good idea to get him on board the podcast to share his wonderful sounds. Having done a number of mixes on his own page and DJ'ing at various events in Buenos Aires, Manucho is definitely an artist to keep track of over the coming months.
