Verwirrt irrten Hans und Gloria in einen vierdimsensionalen Wald voller Phantasiegestalten und wussten nicht wie ihnen geschah: Zwei grünäugige Thujonmonster mixten irrwitzige Titel mit anonymen Textbotschaften während auf einer Empore ein blonder Prinz mit einem tobideiähnlichen Jungen Schach spielte und aus einer Smileytasse Absinth trank... HuGseidank war das nicht nur ein Traum, sondern hat sogar den Weg ins Aufnahmegerät gefunden...

Der Hirsch hat heimlich Kater-Radio mitgeschnitten und serviert euch diese skandlöse Radioshow aus dem Katerkiosk, für die KATZIO beinahe Hausverbot bekommen hätten. Zu einer Zeit, zu der eigentlich alle tanzen wollten, hatten die drei Scherzkekse vom Booking die undankbare Aufgabe bekommen, ihr Programm gegen alle Einwände durchzuziehen inklusive Triangel-Solo, Casio-Demosongs, und nervigen Quizfragen. Nachdem sie bei Backstage und Bar hoffnungslos in Ungnade gefallen waren, spielten die drei kritikresistenten Einfallspinsel den Katerkiosk zuverlässig schnell leer. Wie es dann weiterging? - Hört selbst!

Since 2015, 1020 Radio has been nurturing Bristol's music culture alongside an inspiring team of local and international artists. Championing creativity, diversity and community has been the driving force of all our projects, and we're excited to bring this to a new medium in the form of our compilation series "1020 Curated"; a showcase and celebration of the street-level sounds of which 1020 is built on.

Kicking off the first edition is long-standing resident and Sheffield based producer "unperson", who has curated a 25 track manifesto featuring the station's artists and associates, where the heritage of Bristol's lauded soundsystem culture provides the foundation for new structures of dubwise rave architecture, whilst exploring abstract sonic territories and monolithic soundscapes.

Available exclusively from Bandcamp on Friday April 24th, the first 25 copies come bundled with a premium 350gsm print designed by Montag Freedoms. All proceeds will be donated directly to the charity ‘Above & Beyond’, raising vital funds to support the wellbeing of frontline NHS staff and volunteers, who are tackling the unprecedented challenge of providing care against COVID-19.

Basic Rhythm returns to Sneaker Social Club with new EP "I Don't Know What I Would Do". A side opener, What I Would Do, starts with a stepping percussive melody line and sampled vocal before dropping into a 4/4 stomp and warm bassline, drawing upon Detroit Techno of old in his own inimitable style. The second track, I Just Don't Know, opens with lush keys and female vocal refrain of "I just don't..." gradually building up the percussive elements until dropping into his trademark percussion and sub bass work out.

The B side opens with Annihilate. Worn out pads and sparse percussive stabs gradually open up and make way for a slow build up before dropping into a gritty bass line that stumbles headlong into clattering percussion and the unmistakable howl of Grace Jones as the vocals switch and pan and swirl into a disorienting haze. Closing the EP is Plodding Along, a slow yet upbeat vibe pervades the track, with Basic Rhythm's trademark percussion and a happy go lucky bass line that lilts along content to exist in its own world.
