Toolroom’s Summer 2022 has already kicked off with a string of absolute heaters. Lined up next, it’s Abode’s resident DJ and frontrunner GW Harrison who is back on the label with ‘Feels Good’. The latest Toolroom outing for the London based DJ, and this time he’s enlisted the powerful voice of Laura Davie, the vocalist behind some of Toolroom’s most popular releases from Mark Knight’s – ‘If It’s Love’ to Illyus and Barrientos – ‘Disco Hearts’.

Back on the label once again after dropping last summer’s washed-out House banger ‘Out My Mind’, GW Harrison is stepping up the game for 2022. Leading onto ‘Feels Good’, a summertime Piano House belter featuring a staunch bass line and pumping groove that pushes that euphoric, hands in the air feeling to the max. There’s no doubt that GW Harrison is a DJ and producer with a stacked-out schedule of gigs and releases, and his latest outing on Toolroom is a record that’ll sound track those dance floor moments throughout 2022.

Lined up next on Toolroom, we’re set to welcome the return of WEISS to the label 3 years after his last outing. Most known for his certified gold, 2018 smash-hit ‘Feel My Needs’, which received critical acclaim, topping 5 international music charts at #1, and earning DJ Mag’s ‘Best Of British Winner’ in 2018. WEISS himself has locked in an incredible collaboration with legendary Soul act The Jones Girls, using their classic record ‘You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else’ to create the club stomping cut that is, ‘I Need Some’.

A prolific DJ and producer, WEISS has released cuts on DIRTYBIRD, Universal, Island Records, D4 D4nce, Glitterbox and Toolroom along with remixing A-list artists including Kylie Minogue, Robyn, Calvin Harris and Rag n Bone Man to name a few. When it comes to the House Music elite, Weiss is amongst some of the best there is, touring worldwide and sharing stages with Armand Van Helden, Todd Terry and MK.

Of course, The Jones Girls are an act that needs no introduction, the legendary Philadelphia trio of sisters are the vocalists behind the classic Soul cuts ‘Nights Over Egypt’ and ‘Who Can I Run To’, released on the renowned Philadelphia International label. Backing singers to both Aretha Franklin and Diana Ross during the 1970’s, The Jones Girls have left their mark on Music History and still influence artists and vocalists alike today.

With a passion for all things Soul, Disco and R&B, WEISS has officially fulfilled a childhood dream working with The Jones Girls to create ‘I Need Some’. This is a Disco House focused cut that pays homage to the original record ‘You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else’, whilst reinterpreting the sample and making it club ready for dance floors in 2022.

It was back in 2004 when Miss Connie and Angus McDonald started making beautiful music together. A series of singles at first then, in 2006, their self-titled, 3 x platinum debut album.  Spearheaded by a spectacular salvo of chart topping hits – UFO, PICTURES and I LOVE IT – Sneaky Sound System won ARIA Awards for Breakthrough Artist and Best Dance Release, the first of 14 nominations to-date.

Second long-player and #1 album 2 arrived in 2008 with yet more dancefloor slayers in the form of KANSAS CITY, WHEN WE WERE YOUNG, and the #1 UK club smash IT'S NOT MY PROBLEM. In 2009 I WILL BE HERE, a collaboration with Dutch superstar DJ Tiesto, took Sneaky to the top of both the US dance airplay and UK club charts.

In late 2011 album number three, FROM HERE TO ANYWHERE, arrived, the title referencing its creation in hotel suites, planes, and studios around the world from here (Sydney) to just about everywhere (London, Paris, Ibiza, Moscow). Accolades from critics around the world flowed: MTV called it “an incredible effort” and Sydney’s Daily Telegraph said it’s “a delicious feast of world class dance-pop songs”. A nomination in the prestigious 2012 International DJ Awards in the Live Performance category underscored their escalating international reputation.

In the swirling midst of albums and tours, Connie lent her vocals and lyrics to albums from superstars Jay-Z, Kanye West and Snoop Dogg, and in 2013 she was a guest mentor on Australia’s biggest TV show, The Voice. Later that year, in a News Limited poll of musicians and critics to determine Australia’s greatest all-time singers; Connie came in at no. 18.

And then of course there’s SNEAKY SUNDAYS, the beloved club night they have been running for over 15 years in Sydney and, for four years, at the world renowned Mykonos landmark, Scorpios. It’s a celebration of house music, from slow chugging disco burners to groove laden techno stormers…where you always feel like you’re in the middle of summer. The past few years have seen Sneaky releasing music more akin to the sound of these weekly parties, like SUMMERTIME MADNESS, ALL I NEED IS YOU, and I AIN'T OVER YOU.

2017 saw Sneaky Sound System release underground club tune DO YA THING and, in September, fresh reworks of the mega-smash PICTURES flew into the upper reaches of the ARIA Club Chart, spending four weeks at #2. In March 2018, new remixes of I LOVE IT followed, reaching #3 on the ARIA Club Chart.

In 2018 CAN'T HELP THE WAY THAT I FEEL was released on the venerated UK dance label Cr2.  It reached #1 on both the UK Music Week Club Chart and the Beatport Global House chart, and #2 on the Beatport main (combined) chart. It remained in the top 40 for well over a year and UK national radio, including BBC Radio 1, widely supported the track with over 1900 spins.

The single WE BELONG arrived in mid-2019, followed later in the year by RAISE, a collaboration with hot French DJ/Producer Watermat. Sneaky Sundays became Sneaky Saturdays as Bali hotspot Mrs Sippy became the spectacular location for Sneaky’s much-adored weekly party during July-September.

Angus and Connie are currently back in their Bondi studio - expect more releases during the year - and a return to Mrs Sippy Bali for their weekly parties. And, as always, they’ll be touring extensively, captivating audiences at festivals and clubs around Australia and the world.
