The roots of this project were birthed through street performance, and an improvised exploration of sound - a uniquely organic synthesis of the live and the electric - music that is created, produced and performed before your eyes in real time.

Free form beat discovery without restraints or limits - percussion, samples, bass, synths and chords opened up live in an always original expression - improvisation taking place in the midst of song structures that are constantly re-established as they are allowed to grow anew each performance. 

Forever listening for what the groove wants to become, no two sets are the same as musical tools and elements are continuously reconfigured between shows with a persistent motion towards the freshest of freshness. The sound sourced through these fingertips takes it’s influences from the realms of hiphop, dub, electro funk, neo-soul and all realms of psychedelia.

Having once upon a time graduated from a Bachelor of Music in Jazz at the University of Canterbury, John has since been performing as a bass player and electronic producer in numerous bands across a great diversity of genres through the years in both New Zealand and Australia. Recently he has been making his mark on the streets and scenes of Melbourne city as a regular performer and inner city busker - enticing passersby into an ever evolving world of sound. A passion for the exciting intrigue and fresh feels that come with mixing genres - plus a strong love for both live and electronic music - has John exploring this new horizon, bringing it all together in a captivating new twist that will take you away to another place.
