'My Tearz' features on the first vinyl sampler for Lenzman's forthcoming album 'Looking At The Stars'

Steo may well be one of the best singers we have in the game right now. His falsetto glides over rugged plains on My Tearz. His range is wide and the level of soul he brings to a track is unmatched. The beat is a slight departure for Lenzman in that beauty is put on the shelf and grimy is the order of the day with midrange bass and stepping drums working out against Steo’s vocals.

My Tearz feat. Steo

On Friday 6th June, the Dutch drum & bass producer, Lenzman, will toast the release of his Looking At The Stars album live in Room One. Released on Goldie’s inimitable Metalheadz label the fifteen track long player explores the Amsterdam based maestro’s brew of overtly musical, soulful blend of d&b. Saying “I wanted this album to be personal more than anything,” Lenzman’s certainly created a balanced album that fully reflects the spectrum of human emotion, [as the press release puts it] “from introspection to confidence and doubt”.

We’ll be catching up with Lenzman in depth and proper next week, but for now he’s pre-empted the interview, his album and the launch party by bestowing on us a 33 minute mix that includes and highlights the potency of a few upcoming cuts from Looking At The Stars…
