Il y avait quelque chose, je n'ai pas vu quand il cherchait, aux ombrages d’une ville, le mirage était flou. Après un certain temps, les 4 murs semblaient si perdus. Pas trop de trucs à faire, tout et son contraire. Je n’ai pas vraiment vu ce que j’essayais de penser. Peut-être pas un damné, mais un condamné. Fragment de vie, les premières neiges auront lieu le lendemain, l’hiver s’annonçait long et visiblement terne. L'ennui approchait lentement. Un quart de vie passa, ne laissant que des traces d’encre dans le temps. Dans mon semi-paradis, il y avait le brouillard. J’essayais d’avancer à pile ou face, même s’il y a toujours l’autre côté d’une pièce argentée. Argile et acrylique ne font pas bon ménage. Ça dure 22 heures et ce n’était pas forcément agréable. Au cours d’un hiver, j'essayais de creuser quelques neurones pour faire ou produire des choses que je n’ai jamais fait. Le mal de la décennie, le mal du siècle. Peu importe, la journée n'était pas encore finie, jusqu’à minuit il fallait comprendre à quel point les idées étaient mélangées, surtout lors de ces hivers où je répétais toujours les mêmes erreurs. Les cloches sonnèrent, le ciel clair avant Noël sirotant un verre de thé épicé gratuit. Répétant les mêmes habitudes sans aucune idée de quoi raconter. La même cuisine, la même chambre, toujours la même vue. Tout était remake de tout. Il ne semblait pas vraiment y avoir de but. Je me suis dit que la vie n’était pas si mal finalement, sans doute un cycle qui se répétait en boucle et pour lequel je ne pouvais rien changer. Avoir des idées c’est parfois plus difficile à penser qu’à concrétiser.

Das Urgestein DJ Laban (SundayStripFM) spielte in der goldenen Ära der saarländischen elektronischen Musikszene eine wichtige Rolle. Seit seinem Abschied aus dem Plattenladen- & DJ Zirkus, der unvermeidlichen Schließung des GOA RECORD STORE in Neunkirchen und dem legendären HARD WAX in Saarbrücken, sind gut 20 Jahre vergangen. Der erfolgreiche DJ hatte mehrere internationale, nationale und regionale GIGS gespielt und Mixe auf renommierten Radiostationen, Blogs & Podcasts veröffentlicht.

Machine Without Purpose

Madloch's 3rd Avenue presents the The Shape of Silence EP from Buenos Aires-based producer Serval. The three-track release includes Dreams Within Dreams, Umbrella, and Lost Garden, offering an evocative journey through melodic textures and deep, atmospheric sound design.

After contributing a remix to our Future Avenue sublabel in 2024, Serval now makes his full label debut on 3rd Avenue. Active in the electronic scene for nearly a decade, he has earned recognition and support from artists such as Joris Voorn, ANII, Haze-M, Armen Miran, Ziger, Allies For Everyone, Mariano Mellino, EZEK, Nihil Young, and Ilario Alicante. His music bridges melodic techno and deep house, combining emotion with a distinctive sense of darkness that gives his productions a unique identity.

Influenced by 1980s electronic rock acts such as Depeche Mode, New Order, and Joy Division, as well as minimalist techno pioneers like Richie Hawtin and Magda, Serval creates music that feels both nostalgic and forward-looking. With The Shape of Silence EP, he delivers a refined and atmospheric debut that aligns naturally with the deep and melodic sound of 3rd Avenue.

Movement Recordings continues its house journey with a new EP from Lean Robotti, titled Voodoo Man. The release features three original productions from the Argentine artist alongside a remix from long standing Movement contributor Rudra, delivering a cohesive and groove focused four track collection. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Lean Robotti began his journey into electronic music in 2017 before relocating to Copenhagen in 2019, where he is now based. Since then, he has been steadily emerging within the underground scene, known for groove driven DJ sets that evolve patiently from low to high intensity. His sound is rooted in progressive house with subtle shades of melodic techno, always focused on rhythm, flow, and movement. Lean Robotti has shared stages with artists such as Guy J, Mariano Mellino, Juan Hansen and Sasha, crafting memorable dancefloor moments through carefully curated energy and emotional progression. The EP opens with the title track Voodoo Man, a hypnotic and driving progressive house cut built around a rolling groove, atmospheric tension, and a steady forward momentum that sets the tone for the release. Electronic Playground follows with a more playful edge, combining crisp percussion, fluid bass movement and subtle melodic layers to create an uplifting yet club effective journey. Reload rounds out the original material with a deeper and more introspective approach, blending warm textures and evolving rhythms into a late night progressive statement. Completing the release is a remix of Voodoo Man from Rudra, one of Indias longest running progressive house artists and a regular presence on Movement Recordings. Emerging in 2012, the Kolkata based producer has built a respected catalog through labels such as 3rd Avenue, Aboriginal, Juicebox Music and Mango Alley, while earning continued support from progressive house tastemakers worldwide. For his reinterpretation, Rudra delivers a more stripped back and old school leaning take, emphasizing rolling grooves, deconstructed vocals and a no frills arrangement that adds a timeless club focused perspective to the original. With Voodoo Man, Lean Robotti delivers his most confident statement to date on Movement Recordings, supported by a remix that reinforces the EPs dancefloor identity while honoring the genres roots.
