Bristol-born, Berlin-based DJ, producer & label owner Decka is August's guest on the MindTrip podcast with an exclusive 3-hour session that showcases his signature techno sound, loaded with hypnotic polyrhythmic patterns and groovy, high-energy basslines.
Jack is a vinyl enthusiast and this vinyl-only recording at RSO in Berlin, earlier in July, is explicit proof of his love for wax on stage as well as with his own releases on Token's Fuga compilation,  Darwin's SPE:C imprint and his co-own label Unterwegs.

This is part of my DJ set at Open Ground on 08.11.2024. The closing set lasted 6 hours and 20 minutes; this recording is the last two hours. My set-up on the night was 2x Technics 1210 MK2 & X:ONE96 DJ mixer and the best sound system I have ever witnessed inside a club.

All recorded sets from the mega snorky party at this amazing place in Rostock. As told, one of the hidden islands for real underground vibe and techno music left in Germany. Super atmosphere, super soundsystem and lovely people! Thanks to the Kraftwerk Crew for this great start into the X-mas holidays.
I hope all recorded sets can bring the energy across we experienced during the night together with Neil Landstrumm, Robert Hud, Syntax Error and Roseen on the main floor and Clark Davis and the Garage 58 crew on the second floor.

We Invited warmly Syntax Error to record a 1h Techno mix for us. The mix is a Vinyl-Only handwork.

SYNATX ERROR:
Exactly this world of the deep and groovy techno music is the well-known territory
of Christian Schachta aka Syntax Error. Having started as techno DJ in the late
90ies, he soon found his very special sound favoring deep wobbly bass lines,
harsh snares, FM tones and drones, deep bass drums and tricky percussion.
Like a syntax error, he breaks with commonplace regularities and creates a
wholly new sound experience that is highly recognized within the techno scene.
Each of his releases is an authentic, passionate creation of sound always
mirroring some experience from his personal life – whether it’s from his
adventures at sea or during journeys in the underground dj life enthusiastically
roaming the techno club scene.
Christian also engaged in a couple of new techno projects besides his signature
alter ego Syntax Error, like the experimental techno satire Classic THE FIST as
well as the project 7Function and SYER.
In the beginning of the 2000s he started his label Snork Enterprises, which is a
base for modern underground electronic techno music. It&#39;s not at all about being
pretentious or arty for the sake of it. It&#39;s about real depth on the dance floor. Short
and sweet: very snorky! It&#39;s a journey with friends such as Cristian Vogel, Neil
Landstrumm, Phil Kieran, Jens Zimmerman, DisX3 aka Alexander Kowlaski,
MasCon and many more from the techno scene having dedicated themselves to
an uncompromising, stunning beat to go even further on a trip to the instantly
exceptional, experimental sounds, ranging back to various roots of electronic
underground.

This is the 8th episode of our monthly podcast 'Nachtstrom Sessions' mixed by Oliver Rosemann!

Oliver is a German techno artist who has been exploring his sound for many years. Over the time, he has made numerous releases on the most famous labels in the scene. Including many 12“ records, studio albums and also remixes for respected artists.

His music is characterized as dark, dirty and hypnotic. You can hear his tracks at the hands of the most famous DJs in clubs around the world. Or by himself, he is also traveling internationally and playing DJ sets or live sets.

Since 2021 he has been running the label “Recorded Things”, which has since gained a strong reputation among new and established artists. Here you can also recognize the sound that Oliver distributes.

Music connects like-minded producers in the scene so Oliver is involved in various collaboration projects. He works with Pfirter, Alexander Kowalski and Jonas Kopp and has released plenty of EPs with them.

With each of its more than 120 releases, Snork Enterprises and its sublabels Feinwerk, Relax 2000 and Share Yourself! Series has been going on a journey deep down under the ground, where the light is dark and the bass is booming. 

It’s that kind of place where thoughts and conventions get overridden by the purity of sound; a place where well-known artists and astonishing newcomers expose their experimential spirit leading to a very peculiar sound. What’s top of the record charts does not matter. Bestsellers are negligible. Snork is freedom of sound, no matter what! It’s not at all about being pretentious or arty for the sake of it. It's about real depth on the dance floor.

Founded by techno DJ and producer Christian Schachta, known as Syntax Error, Snork Enterprises soon developed into a base for modern underground electronic techno music placed in Gießen, a small town, right in the middle of Germany. Watch out! It does not always have to be London, Berlin or Chicago!
