A true legend was born when RePete broke through the barriers of techno music and brought it to the next level. He was the first to introduce techno music to New York City nightlife and it earned him his true legendary status. The New York City club scene had exploded due to the new sound and vibe RePete introduced.

One of RePete’s biggest accomplishments throughout his career was a performance in front of 16,000 people in Dortmund, Germany called May Day. 

RePete has worked with various talented artists such as Josh Wink, Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Audio Injection, Drumcell, Alex Bau, Lex Gorrie, A-Brothers, Carl Cox, Joey Beltran, Hans Bouffmyhre, Damon Wild, Victor Calerdone, Sven Vath, Moby, Prodigy, Jellybean Benitez, Charlie Low Noise, Mental Theo, Rob Gee, and DBX Dan Bell.

Where was this mix recorded? 
1. The mix was recorded at a club in Brooklyn NY called Output. Output one  of the best club in NY. When playing my set I was feeding off of the crowd and the crowd was feeding off of me. To keep it simple "It was MASSIVE!" 

With many years of techno experience, how would you say the scene has evolved? 
2. Too keep it simple. I have way over 10 years of techno experience. It all started out in the early 90's at a club called Limelight in NYC.  It was at the Limelight where we exposed  techno to crowds of 2,000-3,000 followers every Friday night. The party was called Future Shock.

What is one of your most memorable nights? 
3. The most memorable night was performing in Germany at Mayday. Me and Damon Wild started a group called Equinox and we where popular in Germany. We where act before Moby that night. I was nervous as staring down at a loaded shot gun. The MC announced us and there was dead silence. We where having technical problems. The crowd was whistling and cheering. All of a sudden the kick drum came through the sound system and the crowd went insane. It was like some one scored the game winning goal in a playoff Football game. 

What has kept you going? 
4. Passion and the love of music. After the Limelight I was burnet out. I took years off from music. During that time I felt an empty void in my life. Now I feel like myself again.

Any extra words for us youngstas?
5. Find a group of people who are on the same head as you. Work together, share ideas, learn together. Stay humble and ask other local DJ's who are big in the scene if there is any way they can help out. Pay your dues. Don't get discouraged and keep your head up. It takes time to built an empire.

You have released on Knotweed and DMT. Tell us about the concepts that lay behind these labels?&#13;

Knotweed was the first label that really I trusted with my productions, so I released on vinyl with them. The opportunity to release on DMT (a label which I respect so much) was thanks to Philippe Petit; Decision Making Theory was a label that grew a lot in a short time. That was because of the quality the label presents through their releases. The label is focused on a Detroit, raw, acid sound with a minimalist concept.&#13;

You refer to yourself as a sound designer. What is the difference in being a sound designer, a producer and a DJ. Give us your opinion&#13;

A sound designer isn't just composing music. A sound designer even has to adapt to an environment, plan, create and make that piece/production count in history. The most important part is that the designer has to figure out a way to make a track work according to how the idea of the track. &#13;

We are under the impression that you some how are infatuated by the city of Detroit, explain why.&#13;

I always felt chemistry with that city. The culture, the history,people, architecture,music, were a huge inspiration to achieve a sound which it is like a tribute to that great city.&#13;

What does techno music mean to you?&#13;

I learned to produce in one of worst moments of my life. I needed to find something to amuse myself and made me forget everything. With techno, I found myself with my feet planted on the ground. When I am in the moment in my studio, everything else disappears. It is only me, my machines and Techno!&#13;

Finally, what are your plans for future releases, gigs etc?&#13;
-----------------&#13;
At the end of this year i'm going to do a release for Plector Records. A Belgian label with great artist as Stanislav Tolkachev, Charlton, Sleeparchive and a few more. &#13;

Also, i'm going to release in a new label with various artist from Malta, Italia. I can’t give so much more information about this. &#13;
&#13;
My next performances will be all in Capital Federal(Buenos Aires), 21st of june and 18th of july and a few more still to confirm.&#13;
